| 9:42 If there had been immediate gain (in sight), and the journey easy, they would (all) without doubt have followed thee, but the distance was long, (and weighed) on them. They would indeed swear by Allah, "If we only could, we should certainly have come out with you": They would destroy their own souls; for Allah doth know that they are certainly lying. ... wa sa-yahlifoona billaahi lawistata'naa lakharajnaa ma'akum yuhlikoona anfusahum wallaahu ya'lamu innahum lakaaziboon 9:56 They swear by Allah that they are indeed of you; but they are not of you: yet they are afraid (to appear in their true colours). wa yahlifoona billaahi innahum laminkum wa maa hum minkum wa laakinnahum qawmun yafraqoon 9:107 And there are those who put up a mosque by way of mischief and infidelity - to disunite the Believers - and in preparation for one who warred against Allah and His Messenger aforetime. They will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good; But Allah doth declare that they are certainly liars. ... wa la yahlifunna in aradnaa illal husnaa wallaahu yash-hadu innahum lakaaziboon |
