| 8:31 When Our Signs are rehearsed to them, they say: "We have heard this (before): if we wished, we could say (words) like these: these are nothing but tales of the ancients." wa izaa tutlaa 'alayhim aayaatunaa qaaloo qad sami'naa law nashaa'u laqulnaa mithla haazaa in haazaa illaa asaateerul awwaleen 31:7 When Our Signs are rehearsed to such a one, he turns away in arrogance, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in both his ears: announce to him a grievous Penalty. wa izaa tutlaa 'alayhi aayaatunaa wallaa mustakbiran ... 45:8 He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous! yasma'u aayaatillaahi tutlaa 'alayhi thumma yusirru mustakbiran ka anlam yasma'haa fa bashshirhu bi'azaabin aleem |
