| 3:117 What they spend in the life of this (material) world May be likened to a wind which brings a nipping frost: It strikes and destroys the harvest of men who have wronged their own souls: it is not Allah that hath wronged them, but they wrong themselves. mathalu maa yunfiqoona fee haadhihil Hayaatid dunyaa kamathali reeHin feehaa Sirrun aSaabat Hartha qawmin DHalamoo anfusahum fa ahlakat-hu wa maa DHalamahumullaahu wa laakin anfusahum yaDHlimoon 10:22 He it is Who enableth you to traverse through land and sea; so that ye even board ships;- they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they rejoice thereat; then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think they are being overwhelmed: they cry unto Allah, sincerely offering (their) duty unto Him saying, "If thou dost deliver us from this, we shall truly show our gratitude!" huwalladhee yusayyirukum fil barri wal baHri Hattaa idhaa kuntum fil fulki wa jaraynabihim bi reeHin Tayyibatin wa fariHoo bihaa ja'at-haa reeHun 3aaSifun wa jaa'ahumul mawju min kulli makani ... 22:31 Being true in faith to Allah, and never assigning partners to Him: if anyone assigns partners to Allah, is as if he had fallen from heaven and been snatched up by birds, or the wind had swooped (like a bird on its prey) and thrown him into a far-distant place.
