[u]Surah Al-Baqara[/u] 2:185 [b]Shahru[/b] ramadhaana allathee unzila feehi al-qur'aan hudan li an-naas wa bayyinaatin mina al hudaa wal furqaan; fa man shahida minkumu ash-[b]shahr[/b]a fali yasSumhu wa man kaana mareedhan aw 3alaa safarin fa 3iddatun min ayyaamin ukhar; yureedu Allaahu bikumu al-yusra wa laa yureedu bikumu al-3usr; wa li tukmiloo al-3iddata wa li tukabbiroo Allaaha 3alaa maa hadaakum wa la3allakum tashkuroon Ramadhan is the [u](month)[/u] in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that [u]month[/u] should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful. 2:194 Ash-[b]shahr[/b]u al-Haraamu bi ash-[b]shahr[/b]i al-Haraami wa al-Hurumaatu qiSaas;. Fa mani i3tadaa 3alaykum fa i3tadu 3alayhi bi mithli maa i3tadaa 3alaykum wa ittaqoo Allaaha wa i3lamoo anna Allaaha ma3aa al-muttaqeen The prohibited [u]month[/u] for the prohibited month,- and so for all things prohibited,- there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, Transgress ye likewise against him. But fear Allah, and know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.
