I don't know who this sheikh hamad dude is and I fail to understand how he can call the iraqi government wise?!? Fine maybe they are, but certainly Hussain isn't wise. Yeah, he's coniving and knows lots of dirty little tricks, that shows his evilness. I guess that evil geniuses can be wise, but certainly don't deserve to be painted as the good guys. I will give a thumbs up to Hussain for just one thing and that is that he has more guts than all the arab leader combined.

Saddam Accepts Gift of Boeing 747
The Associated Press
Nov 16 2000 7:52PM

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Iraq has increased its small domestic airline fleet by one more plane, thanks to the gift Thursday of a Boeing 74 from the president of a Persian Gulf regional airline.

Sheik Hamad bin Ali Al Thani of the carrier Air Gulf Falcon presente the white plane with blue stripes in a ceremony at Saddam International Airport.

``The present expresses my solidarity with the Iraqi people and President Saddam Hussein,'''' Sheik Hamad said. ``There is no political significance to the gift. ... It only reflects my true love for Iraq and its wise leadership.''''

President Saddam Hussein said the plane would be used by the state-run Iraqi Airways.

Sheik Hamad, a Qatari who also founded his own country''s nation carrier Qatar Airways in 1994, formed Air Gulf Falcon in the United Arab Emirates in 1999.

Iraq''s fleet of 15 Boeing airliners was flown out to Jordan, Iran and Tunisia to escape bombing during the 1991 Gulf War and it has not
been able to retrieve them.

Iraq used old Russian-made military cargo planes when it resumed domestic flights earlier this month.

The resumption of domestic flights followed the arrival in Baghdad of dozens of international flights from non-governmental organizations
and foreign countries seeking an end to U.N. sanctions imposed to punish Iraq for invading Kuwait in 1990.

Assalam,
TRUE THAT!!

Okay,I'm not good with names so bear with me here.
Did you guys hear about the israeli woman who died of cancer-I don't know when. She was the wife of the jewish prime minister who was asassited(yeah-i can't spell)
by a jew. Because he signed a peace treaty with Arafat. I'm not sure I'm saying this clearly or correctly. Well, I heard from my cousin that she was all for the peace with the Palestinians and
that she didn't like barak for what he was doing.
I don't know the whole story-or if its true. All I know is that Arafat was invited(i heard that one on the news).

Another thing, Yasir Arafat is not a good person to represent Palestine.
If he dies, who will take his place?? Will the Palestinians get to pick!! Or will it be someone in his family?

Assalamoalykum,

Oh I don't think that when Arafat dies someone from his family will be the leader. I know that there are two men that everyone says will take over the leadership, I can't remember their names though. Both are close to Arafat. I don’t think that the PLO is good for Palestine, period. They need to leave their secularist stance and start abiding by the rule of Allah. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn’t it the PLO who signed the so-called peace treaty first with the Israelis?

Think about it. Why would the Israeli government give power to Arafat if he were capable of doing anything except kissing cheeks? They can easily assassinate him. Really easily, they have trouble getting to Hamas, but they would have no trouble getting to Arafat. When I think of Arafat the story of the princess and the frog comes to mind. No really, it does. Even though he's been kissed back many times, (not by a princess though of course :)   ), he still hasn't come out to be the prince that the people were hoping that he would become in the beginning when power was given to him. Ya Allah, the sight of that man revolts me! I can't stand to look at him!

If the PLO were good for anything the Israelis wouldn't have given them the meager weapons that it did. The only reason that they gave those third class guns to the PLO was because they wanted them to use it on the Palestinians to keep the "violence" down. And they knew that even if they PLO wasn't going to do that and only occasionally, still the weapons wouldn't cause much damage to their soldiers lives who think that a rock is a weapon of destruction.

I agree!

But also  ..like to add that I dont think that there's any leader in the fragmented ummah of this time [nationalistic-countries]that abides/rules by Quran and sunnah.

I think all the leaders are secular and most politically corrupt ..in holding back and financially/morally destroying the ummah too.

InshAllah the Khilafah will return within our life time and muslims from all over the world will have the opportunity to enjoin the sunnah and islamic ruling system.

I think we all know its not going to be easy -- with the western world - tyrant rulers and enemies of islam doing their utmost to strangle  the very thoughts of such unified intentions and
focussed on fragmenting us - harming us more and more day by day.

The islamic Khalifah has been absent for less than a century [1924] since its original establishment -the hijrah by Rasulalluh pbuh.

InshAllah it will return soon.
