Well I did know that Egypt received aid from the us in return of kissing some ****, but for some reason it didn't register until now with full force why the egyptian government lacks a spine. I was in the dark about Jordan. List of people that the Muslims could do without.

Hosni Mubarak; King Jordan II and many of his family memebers; The Saudi monarchy; Ba Nazir Bhuto; Iltaf Hussain; Sadam Hussain; Sharif; the Turkey government;........ (more later on, my head is hurting, think i better go to sleep.)

Clinton asks Congress for an extra $450M. for military aid to Israel

By Nitzan Horowitz

Ha'aretz Correspondent

Ha'aretz - Nov 16/00

WASHINGTON - The Clinton administration has asked Congress to grant extra
aid to Israel - to the tune of $450 million - in addition to the $2.78
billion it already gets. The addition is about half the $800 million in
supplementary military aid that Israel wanted from Washington to help
defray the cost of withdrawing from Lebanon and beefing up missile
defenses against long-term regional threats.

In all, the Clinton administration asked Congress to approve an extra $750
million in aid to the Middle East - Egypt would get $225 million and
Jordan $75.

In the request submitted on Tuesday, Clinton said the additional aid would
strengthen U.S. interests in the Mideast.

Senior Jewish sources told Ha'aretz yesterday that because of political
tension over the deadlocked American presidential election, the outgoing
Congress is unlikely to rush to approve Clinton's request.

Moreover, representatives are likely to be even more reluctant to approve
funding that is not to promote the peace process but is seen rather as a
political gesture by Clinton to Prime Minister Ehud Barak and President
Hosni Mubarak.

"The political conflict right now is terrible, the atmosphere is very
difficult, and since Republicans will see their majority shrink in the
next Congress, they are unlikely to make this gesture to Clinton," said
one Jewish source.

The additional aid asked for Israel includes $250 million toward the cost
of the Lebanon withdrawal, which Israel estimates at $925 million.

The remaining $200 is to develop defenses - such as the Arrow - against a
potential ballistic missile threat. The request also included a suggestion
that Israel's military aid next year should include an extra $350 million.

Palestinians urge Arab peoples to revolt against their despotic regimes

Occupied Jerusalem: 18 November - With the Zionist regime's bloody repression of Palestinian protests continuing unabated, Palestinians have lambasted Arab states and peoples for not doing enough to support their Palestinian brethren against Israel's wanton killing which has left hundreds of Palestinians dead and thousands injured.

The imam and khatib, or Friday Speaker, of the Aqsa Mosque, Yousef Abu Sneineh, lashed out at Arab and Muslim peoples, saying they utterly failed to carry out their Islamic duty.

"They have a religious Islamic duty to support their Palestinian brothers….but hey have failed to carry out this duty….are they afraid of their dictators, or are they just ignorant of what is going on," he said during the Friday sermon.

"We realize that these peoples are controlled by despotic regimes that are protected by and answerable to American colonialists, but that is not an excuse…the masses shouldn't tolerate a situation where the despotic rulers confiscate their   rights and freedoms…the rulers are not above the masses, the masses must be above the rulers."

Abu Sneineh invoked an Islamic theological   principle   which says that if a given duty can't be performed due to a certain obstacle,   the removal of that obstacle becomes a duty in itself.

"This means that the removal of the despotic rulers is a religious duty."

Sheikh Nayef Rajoub of the Grand Mosque in Dura attacked the decisions of the two Arab and Islamic summits in Cairo and Doha.

"All their hapless decisions will not shake even one hair on Sharon's body."

Sharon is Israel's war criminal who provoked the current uprising in the West Bank when he intruded the Haram al Sharif of Alqods on 28 September, thus desecrating   Islamic holy places there.

"I just don't understand how our leaders could declare that peace is their only strategy in dealing with Israel, no respectable country limits its options to one…this is a manifestation of bankruptcy, incompetence and powerlessness," he told some 5000 worshipers at the Grand Mosque of Dura on Friday.

"I am sorry to tell you that our calamity with our despotic leaders is greater than that with the Zionist entity."
