Hadith of the day...updated daily

This is a thread which I hope, Insha'allah, will benefit someone....(updated daily :))
Here's the first Hadith:

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for."

Narrated: Umar bin al-Khattab
Source: Sahih Bukhari

Hadiths shall be posted roughly at this time unless otherwise stated (2:40-4:00 Saudi time)

Narrated: Aisha
Source: Sahih Bukhari

Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle "O Allah's Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Apostle replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes  off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

Now updated twice a day

Assalam-u-Alaikum,
I have decided to extend this to twice a day, tell me if this is good or bad :)

Narrated:Ibn Abbas
Source:Sahih Bukhari

Allah's Apostle was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an. Allah's Apostle was the most generous person, even more generous than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds).

Hadith of the day no.1.  Next Hadith approximately 2-3 hours away.

Narrated:Abu Hurayrah
Source:Sahih Muslim

The Messenger of Allah said to his uncle (at the time of his death): Make a profession of it that there is no god but Allah and I will bear testimony (of your being a Muslim) on the Day of Judgment. He (AbuTalib) said: Were it not the fear of the Quraysh blaming me (and ) saying that it was the fear of (approaching death) that induced me to do so, I would have certainly delighted your eyes. It was then that Allah revealed: Verily thou can not guide to the right path whom thou lovest. And it is Allah Who guideth whom He will and He knoweth best who are the guided (xxviii.56).

I think you should list the volume number and which hadith number this is, if you are going to post it.  Also I think this is a little too basic, why don't you post something where a scholar referenced the hadith when explaining something.  That will be much better and useful.

Assalam-u-Alaikum,
Thanks for your advice I'll do that.  I just pick a random Hadith.  I don't think I can do the scholar reference thing.  I've decided that Hadith no.1 should be Sahih Bukhari and no.2 from Muslim.  I expect that you mean the volume of the book, right?

Hadith of the day no.1      Next Hadith: 2-3 hours

Volume:Hey! Where do I find it!?
Narrated:Bara' ibn 'Azib
Subject:Salaah
Hadith no.:260

Allah's messenger offered the Salat(prayer) facing Bait-ul-Maqdis for sixteen or seventeen months but loved to face the Ka'bah(at Makka). So Allah revealed[the Qur'an(v.2: 142-144)] (then) he turned [towards Qiblah(Ka'bah at Makka)].[1:392-O.B]

I copy these Hadiths word for word :)

Assalam-u-Alaikum,
 Ooops! It seems I'm a little late...sorry.

     Hadith no.2         Next Hadith: Tommorow!

Source:Sahih Muslim
Volume:2, I think :)
Subject:Ramadan
Hadith no.:2361
Narrated:Abu Hurayrah

Abu Hurayrah reported Allah's Messenger as saying: "When there comes the month of Ramadan, the gates of mercy are open, and the gates of Hell are locked and the devils chained."

This is the only non-random Hadith.  I just thought it would fit this time of the year(i.e.Ramadan:)

The Prophet said,"Don't you think that he says: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, only for Allah's sake?" They replied, "Yes" The Prophet said, "Nobody will meet Allah with that saying on the Day of Resurrection, but Allah will save him from the Fire."

Assalam-u-Alaikum,

Sahih Bukhari, page 658, Hadith no.1399

THE CREATION OF ADAM AND HIS OFFSPRING

Narrated Abu Hurairah:  The Prophet said, "Allah created Adam, and his height was 60 cubits.(When He created him), He said to him, 'Go and greet that group of angels and listen to their reply, for it will be the greeting (salutation) and the greeting (salutation) of your offspring.' So, Adam said (to the angels), 'Assalam-u-Alaikum' (i.e. peace be upon you). The angels replied (saying), 'Assalam Alaika wa Rahmatullahi' (i.e. peace and Allah's Mercy be upon you). Thus the angels added to Adams salutation the expression, 'Wa Rahmatullahi.' Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (in appearence and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adam's creation"[4:543 O.B]
