| Assalaamu Alaikum ... i had no idea about this, but alhumdulillah i already know them ... you know i've found the easiest way to memorise Quran is to learn 1 or 2 short ayats per night ... or if it's a long ayat, maybe one or two lines per night ... i think being consistent is the key, instead of trying to memorise 25 verses in one day and then nothing for weeks at a time ... maybe it's different for the rest of you Assalaamu Alaikum |

| Assalamu alaikum, Br. Kashif, are you a teacher or something? You keep giving us all these assignments :-) Well, I am done with the last 2 ayah of surat al-baqara. | Assalamo elikum I am done, Alhamdullah . May Allah reward you Kashif for starting this (I always made plans to memorize an surah or so but never used to complete them :) I think setting a dead line is the key) Wsaalm tq PS: Does it get harder to memorize (long term) as we grow older? Because I remember when I was "younger" I used memorize much faster and easier:) or is it just me? Is age a factor or is it just that as we grow we have more things going in our mind at one? |

| Salaam I am done Alhamduli Allah..(since I knew them before this) tq: there is a medical reason for that..for men it's around the age of 20-22, and guess what? for us women it's 24-26.Are n't we lucky siss.. Hiyam |

| [color=Blue] no im not done, still have the last ayat of baqra to learn :( :( is there any chance of getting an extention for the memorisation of Al-Mulk im half way and i dont think i will finish it by wednesday untill friday maybe? i'd like to at least finish something on time an our ago i learnt 4 ayats of Al-Mulk im soo happy :) :-) jazakallah khair excellent program !!! [/quote] Destined - you statement is true but consider this: When you go to school you have deadlines for getting assignments in. When you are on the job you have deadlines for completing a project. I'm sure we can set deadlines for those things which benefit us from Allah (swt) Besides having these time schedules within a group makes me go (ok I have a couple of days left I have to memorize this...I'll be left back :-) ) It also makes it fun to learn I dunno... |

| Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu yes im kinda done. just need to revise a bit more especially the last 2 verses of sura Baqarah. JazakAllah brother Kashif for giving us such assignments. Nothing like group study!!! |
