Who are the Best Quran Recitors??

Assalaamu alaikum wr wb I just asked this question in the bebzi stand, but figured it would be more appropriate here. Does anyone know where I can buy audios of the Kuwaiti Qari, Mishaari Rashid Al-Efaasi?  If you haven't heard his recitations, subhanAllah, you're missing out! JazaakAllahu khairan

JazaakAllahu khairan for the websites, I have these bookmarked already.  Since I'm not really too high-tech, I have no idea how to record off of the internet, and was hoping to find a site where you can buy his cd's directly.  If I find out, I'll let you all know...and vice versa, please! :)

slm, I've never heard his recitation before.  I just downloaded surat-ul-Buruj, beautiful qiraath.  One of my favorite reciters is Qari Abdul Bari http://www.islam.org/radio/ch150.htm I don't know anything about Qari Abdul Bari, someone once told me he might be Egyptian???

Assalaamu alaikum, You are right Jannah. I booted into Linux and while using Netscape I consistently get 404 errors. It has got something to do with compatiblity. Islaam.com is hosted on Windows so it might have something to do with it. It doesn't even work when one goes through the links starting from the homepage.Maybe it is css incompatibility? Anyway, we will have to let the webmaster know. Wasalaam.

Actually, you may not know it, but Mishaari Rashid's recital is EXACTLY like Muhammad Ayyoub who used to lead at Masjid an-Nabawee when I was there. Muhammad Ayyoub is the one reciting on the Alim CD, but that is not his real voice. He did that in monotone studio. His taraweeh voice is exactly Mishaari Rashid. In order to get those Taraweeh tapes, one would have to go to the Haram in the tape section and (bringing their own tapes) request them to make copies for you. Hmm..did you guys know that every lesson and prayer in the Haram is recorded and that you just need to bring in empty tapes and they'll give you copies. Well, now you know.

slm I know of a known Saudi qari called Abdul Bari,he reads in the radio and he teaches very nice reading with tajweed.

slm, wheni was in maryland last week i asked the brother at islamic bookstore if anyone makes efasi CDs and he said as far as he knows, no one does :( but mashallah, efasi has an aweosme recitation.. its probably a matter of time before he does make it onto CD inshallah :)

Bismillah and salam, Masha'Allah nowadays i like Adil Alkalbani is a nice qari. We also listen to Efasi and Alminshawi alot at home. We used to be really into Husari and abdulbasi6 Abdulsamad coz they play them alot in arabic countries so you get so used to it and you miss it. My mother just absolutely loves Alsudais. Mash'Allah it amazes me how each soul is softened towards a particular qari appeals to it more than others.

slm, I started listening to Saud Al-Shuraim and he's simply awesome!! Mash'Allah. I've been looking for his style of recitation since i heard it at the tarawih salat in Cairo...*sigh* i really miss Cairo in Ramadan :( My second favourite qari is Al-Husari...he recites in such a manner that makes every ayah sink into your heart. It also reminds me of Juma'ah in Maqdisho. The imam used to recite in a similar way.

[slm] there is a really excellent pakistani qari called  ghulam rasul - his recitation is like wow :o u guys have mentioned a lot of other people who u think have excellent recitation - any ideas where i can get their audio tapes in the UK? [wlm]

slm i had my shaykh called shaykh yusuf in jeddah, his recitation was awesomeeeee!! :)i luv him still..!! but to me the best qirah that i have heard ever is right now in brooklyn, he is Shaykh Ramadan!! MashaAllah!!! the best ever!! he is little known!! but he has mad fan followers like me!!! we drive 1.5 hours every night alhumdolillah just for the taraweeh to brooklyn!!! [slm] There is a little known egyptian recitor called Nur ad-Din Ahmed who has only made like three tapes, but his tajweed is *excellent* and very clear...and subhaanAllaah, his style is very relaxing - puts a spell on you. anyone here in egypt (especially Alexandria) , see if u can get yoruselves a copy...i think he's only available there at the moment. other than that, i think particular recitors recite particular surahs best..i like tawfeeq as-sayegh for surahs Ash-Shu'araa and An-Naml...theres one particular recitation of surah Yaseen and As-Saafaat by Abu Bakr ash-Shaatree which ive only found in one store in the uk...and mishaaree raashid is awsome for surahs tawbah, sajdah and WAAQIAH (<<<<listen to this one by him!!!!) [wlm]

salams all: i love listening to the diff styles of recitation.. personally, i like sudais/shuraim because i everytime i hear them i just imagine myself back at the ka'bah with their voices floating over the haram sharif. amazing. masha'Allah muhammed ayub has a very powerful voice you know there was someone reciting on the pbs program, islam: empires of faith but i'm not sure who it was..they did sura qadr.. any idea of who that was? i think some persian..but would love to find a tape of them! it was beautiful! wasalams, maryam :)
