About the upcoming UN interfaith conference

as-salaam alaikum wa rahmatuallah wa barakatuhu, On 28th August, the United Nations is holding a “World Peace Summit”, which will see representatives of all the world’s major religious groups come together to, as their web page states, “coordinate religious and spiritual leadership as an interfaith ally to the United Nations in its quest for peace, global understanding, and international cooperation.” In other words, they want the worlds religions to become their  and maidens in pursuing their (the UNs) version of "peace, global understanding and international cooperation". If you visit their web page, http://www.millenniumpeacesummit.com/, you should note carefully the opening flash animation sequence. The animation shows icons representing each of the world’s major religious groups circumambulating the United Nations logo. Indeed, what more accurate representation could there be of the ultimate goal of the UN to force the Muslim world to make “tawaf” around their ideals, policies and goals – which basically mirror Western ideals, policies and goals. Of course, this “interfaith call” is not new, and doesn’t begin with the formation of the United Nations, but rather has as its earliest identifiable origin, the Parliament of the World's Religions that was held in Chicago in 1893. At this meeting, Swami Vivekananda said, that “if anybody dreams of the exclusive survival of his own religion and the destruction of the others, I pity him from the bottom of my heart, and point out to him that upon the banner of every religion will soon be written in spite of resistance : Help and not Fight, Assimilation and not Destruction, and Harmony & Peace and not Dissension”. So the interfaithists call for the mixing and assimilation of the religions - to take the pristine, perfect, religion of Islam which is the only religion with Allah, and to corrupt it with the man-made polytheistic creeds of everyone from the Cow worshippers to the Fire worshippers. Their objective is to wipe out Islam from the face of the earth, to eradicate Islam from the hearts of the Muslims, and to secularize and control the Islamic lands. It is no secret that Western think tanks have identified Islam as the biggest post cold-war threat to continued Western cultural, social, economic and political dominance. This movement is just one tool in their arsenal of weapons in their war against Islam. Indeed, at the Third Parliament of the Worlds Religions in 1999, Dr Karan Singh, the chairman of the  temple of Understanding (one of the leading interfaith groups), said: “The task of Interfaith dialogue has become all the more urgent because around the world a number of fundamentalist and fanatic religious groups have emerged with the avowed intention of using violence to subvert constitutionally established regimes and terrorize whole populations.” We know when the West speaks of “fundamentalist threats” to “constitutionally established regimes”, they are talking about the threat that Islam represents their domination and to the continued operation of the western client states in the Muslim world. The interfaithists are calling to the unification (assimilation) of religions, arguing that all religions are empirically the same, sharing basic humanistic qualities such as honesty, goodness or peacefulness. When comparing the world’s religions to Islam, they focus on all the peripheral matters, exaggerating them and twisting them to give the impression of some mutual inclusiveness, but yet they do not discuss the fundamental and irreconcilable differences between Islam and the other beliefs, such as the issue of monotheism or the prophethood of Muhammad (pbuh). If you read the religious descriptions provided by the UN organizers, you will a common thread and that is the emphasis on peace.  For instance, in Islam  (http://www.millenniumpeacesummit.com/islam_description.html), they say: “God is Peace".   Yet the essence of Islam, is that God is One, and that is the primary source of difference between Muslims and the rest of humanity who associate partners with God. So the UN want us to put these differences aside, trivializing them as the secondary matters, and focus upon some commonalities between us and every other system of belief, from the worship of nature through to Shintoism. In other words, they want Muslims to leave al-wara wa’l baraa at the door, put tawheed under their feet, and sign on to the UN “world religion”, for “the sake of peace”.   Now, if we examine their definitions for each of the other mentioned religions, you find that they also emphasis that these religions are about peace. For instance: Buddism - "The aim of all should be to learn peace and live peacefully with all." Christianity - "We should seek the way of peace..." Jainism - "All men should live in peace with their fellow beings. This is God's desire" Zoarastrianism - "All men and women should mutually love one another, and live in peace as brothers and sisters, bound by the indescrutible hand of humanity." Confucionism - "Seek to live in harmony with all your neighbours and at peace with thy brethren" Hinduism - "If one would find happiness and security, one must seek peace." Sikhism - "By saturating my mind, (The True Name) has satisfied all my longings, and given me peace and happiness" Shintoism - "The earth shall be free of trouble and we shall live in peace under protection of the divine" Judaism - "The peaceful life offers the greatest opportunity for happiness and prosperity". Whilst it is perhaps true that the desire for peace is an intrinsic human quality and thus manifests itself even in these man-made religions, the fact is that the definitions and mechanisms to achieve peace differ vastly. And what is the real definition of peace and ease? Did not Allah say, that is only with the rememberence of Him that the hearts will find ease? How can peace be found in worshipping other than Allah, as is the way of all these religious groups that have been mentioned? So whose definition of peace is the UN calling to? The answer is in the opening statement of this brief comment, where they state they want us to be, andmaidens to the “United Nations in ITS quest for peace”. I don’t think any of us have any doubts as to what this UN definition of peace is, and what it means for the Muslims. The sanctions on Iraq that have led to a thousand babies dying every month, is just one recent example of “UN peace”. It should therefore come as no surprise that one of the people invited to speak at this “interfaith” gathering is one of the biggest enemies of Islam alive today  (http://naqshbandi.net/haqqani/events/UN_2000/Shaykh_Nazim_UN.htm). His name is Nazim al-Qubrusi, and he is the leader of the polytheistic Naqshbandi cult, whose American leader is Hisham Kabbani. This cult, universally debunked and refuted, has been an impedient and a hindrance to the growth of Islam in the West for many years. Amongst their crimes against the ummah have been their attempts to whip up anti-Islamic hatred amongst the American people by claiming that most US Mosques are run by terrorists, their claim that Muslim students were preparing a nuclear arsenal in the US, and, most recently, their alignment and support of the Russian slaughter of Muslims in Chechnya. (see  http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Senate/8841/). These people are Muslims-for-hire, ready to give the stamp of “Islamic” approval to whatever plots our enemies dream up against us. Muslims should not be fooled into accepting this “interfaith” movement and the coming conference as anything except a well-orchestrated and calculated attempt by our enemies to destroy us and Allah's pure religion. Those who call for “assimilation” or “acceptance” are calling for the destruction of Islam, and these people should be exposed and fought. Allah has said that the ONLY religion acceptable to him is Islam, and all other religions, all other systems of belief, are false and will NEVER be accepted by Allah azza wa jal. If Muslims believe that Allah has perfected their religion for them, then the Muslims will realise that they have NOTHING to gain from interfaith reconciliation, but they have everything to lose. SUFI LEADER PLAYS HOST TO "MAIN ENEMY OF CHECHEN PEOPLE" "Dont be misled" by Kabbani and Chechen traitor, Chechen government warns by Hamza Al-Zenitsawi Islamic Research Institute Hisham Kabbani seems to seek out controversy with the same passion that other public figures flee from it. The California-based guru of an offshoot of the Naqshbandi sect of Sufism once defended U.S. military strikes on Iraq, provoking an Internet furor. At one event held at the US State Department in January of 1999, Kabbani warned government officials of a "big threat" emanating from American mosques, claiming that eighty percent of those mosques are controlled by "extremist ideology." Kabbani went on to predict that America's largest national Muslim student organization might carry out terrorist strikes on universities with nuclear weapons procured through Usama Bin Laden. "You don't know, these students, what they are going to do, because their way of thinking is brainwashed and limited," Kabbani warned. Those remarks prompted a joint statement by the leaders of the eight largest national Muslim organizations, demanding that Kabbani apologize or face a boycott by the American Muslim community. That apology hasn't come, and Kabbani is still generally shunned. The Sufi leader's latest foray into controversy involves his decision to invite Ahmed Kadyrov, head of Russia's puppet regime in Chechnya and recipient of a death sentence by Chechnya's high court for treason, for a breakfast meeting.   The event is scheduled to take place on August 19 at the Washington, DC office of Kabbani's self-styled "Islamic Supreme Council of America" (ISCA). In an invitation letter sent to several Islamic organizations, ISCA lawyer Sophia Shaikh crowed that their guest of honor was "officially recognized by Putin's regime as the authorized representative of the Chechen people," and described Hisham Kabbani as Kadyrov's "spiritual and religious advisor." Moreover, ISCA's letter makes the ridiculous claim that Kadyrov is "a close personal friend of current Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov." This of course comes as a great surprise to President Maskhadov. In a videotaped statement last month, he called Kadyrov "the main enemy of the Chechen people." "The people will appreciate the services of the one who manages to remove him more than all the heroic deeds performed by Chechen fighters in all wars in the course of the last 400 years," Pres. Maskhadov said. In response to Kabbani's hosting of Kadyrov, the Government of Chechnya has taken the extraordinary step of issuing a statement denouncing the visit, warning "American friends of the Chechen people not to be misled by Mr. Kadyrov and those who decided to support him." "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria finds it totally unacceptable that [ISCA] decided to support Mr Kadyrov, who is directly responsible for the genocide of the Chechen people," said Ilyas Akhmadov, Chechnya's foreign minister, in an statement released on August 12. "Mr. Kadyrov has organized several assassination attempts against President Aslan Maskhadov, and he is wanted by the Chechen Law Enforcement Agencies on several charges varying from treason to attempted murder." Akhmadov also revealed that "the State Security Service of the ChRI has obtained reliable evidence proving that Mr. Kadyrov has long been working for the Russian FSB [the successor agency to the KGB] and has a rank of colonel of the FSB and a covering name 'Adam'." The idea that a Muslim organization would associate itself with the bloody Russian campaign in Chechnya is bizarre, but Kabbani has already courted controversy on this subject. An earlier battle on the Internet between Kabbani's followers and his opponents was sparked by an Itar-Tass interview with Kabbani. The Russian news agency said: "Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, speaking in an interview with Itar-Tass here on Tuesday, expressed support for actions of federal Russian authorities."  A Kabbani spokesman claimed at the time his leader's words were misrepresented by the reporter. Most Muslims know of Russia's brutal campaign to crush Chechnya's independence movement. Russia continues to draw international condemnation for its machine gunning of Chechen civilians, indiscriminate bombing, and "filtration camps" where soldiers systematically rape and torture Chechen civilians. But those who have not been closely following Russia's war on Chechnya might not appreciate the outrage felt by the Chechen government over Kabbani's courting of Kadyrov. For the benefit of the uninitiated, we offer this background on the Chechen quisling and his efforts on behalf of the Russian military. Kadyrov, formerly Chechnya's mufti, outwardly took the side of the Chechens during their first war of independence in the 1990's. After expelling the Russians from Grozny at the end of that war, however, the Chechen secret service captured documents indicating that Kadyrov was a Russian agent. The elected Chechen government became uneasier with Kadyrov when his gunmen began forcing residents at gunpoint to publicly declare they were not "Wahhabis" ("Wahhabi" is the Russian government's propaganda term for Muslims who seek the implementation of Shariah, or Islamic law). Reffering to this, the Chechen Foreign Minister said in his statement on ISCA that Kadyrov was "directly responsible for deliberately creating religious intolerance and extreme tensions among Chechens from 1996 to 1999." The mufti's militant opposition to Shariah brought him further into conflict with the Chechen government. He clashed with then-President Zelimkhan Yandarbiev over his replacement of Chechnya's secular courts with an Islamic judicial system. "Yandarbiev liquidated practically all of the civil courts and introduced Shari'ah courts," Kadyrov complained in an interview. "Many people still remember how the whole world was horrified when people were publicly executed according to the verdict of a Shari'ah court." Kadyrov's actions left Chechnya's government wondering about his reliability. Their suspicions were well founded. When the Russians launched their second offensive against Chechnya in October 1999, the administration of Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov told the Russian daily Kommersant, "We will not be very surprised if [Kadyrov's militia] turns out to be loyal to the Russian federal forces." Kadyrov proved Maskhadov right by helping the Russians take Chechnya's second largest city, Gudermes, without a shot being fired. "The [Russian] federal forces have simply found a powerful ally in the person of Kadyrov," wrote Kommersant at the time. Maskhadov promptly stripped Kadyrov of his title of Mufti of Chechnya. Initially, Kadyrov's main role after switching sides was to serve the Russian cause by trying to chip away at the Chechen fighters' high morale. "Maskhadovs, Basayevs, Udugovs deceive you and earn fortunes on your blood," Kadyrov told the embattled Chechens in a Jummah radio address. "Think better and return to peaceful life."  He even participated in a New Years Eve awards ceremony in Gudermes, looking on approvingly as acting Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin awarded hunting knives to Russian soldiers in celebration of their "bravery" against Chechen fighters. Kadyrov was eventually rewarded for his betrayal when Putin installed him as head of the Russian puppet government in Chechnya. Kadyrov quickly made it clear he would tolerate no talk of Chechen independence. "Hence my task and objective," he told Novaya Gazeta, "…to prevent [the Chechen people] from being tricked again with all this talk of sovereignty and freedom, which they have never had and which nobody will ever give them. Actually, an ordinary person …does not need freedom. An ordinary person needs work, salary, and security." The interviewer asked: "…Does it mean that while you head the administration, the idea of Chechnya's sovereignty will not even be discussed?" Kadyrov's curt reply: "No more discussions. No more such ideas…" Naturally, Kadyrov's actions earned him the anger of the Chechen people. Although he is a leader in name, like all puppets installed by an occupying force, he enjoys virtually no popular legitimacy. "In the absence of mass support among the local population, Russian military officials remain, for now, his chief allies," wrote Kommersant. Speaking to the Chechen Parliament, Maskhadov called Kadyrov "the traitor of the century, who has done all he can for Russia's intervention into Chechnya."  In a televised speech in November, Maskhadov called Kadyrov "the main perpetrator of the new war…Kadyrov had repeatedly attempted to unleash a civil war in Chechnya on various pretexts, splitting the people on a religious basis…the special services had been ordered to arrest Kadyrov and punish him in accordance with the laws of wartime." In a July interview with Azerbaijan's ANS TV, Shamil Basayev, a top commander of the Islamic army in Chechnya, had this to say: "Firstly, his surname is not Kadyrov, but Kafyrov…there should be an 'f' instead of 'd' ["kaffir" is the Islamic term for disbeliever]. Secondly, the fact that he was appointed as the chief puppet says firstly that the Russians…threw off all their masks, and brought all their agents to the front line, too." Likewise, Kadyrov harbors a deep hatred for the President of Chechnya, calling him "a cowardly person" and "traitorous."  "He is a nobody," says Kadyrov. "Maskhadov should officially resign. That's all. He should say, 'I'm sorry I turned out to be so incompetent.' And let him go to his son in Malaysia then. Forever.'"

Assalamoalykum, So kabani is a Sufi? Great. No wonder that when someone says something nice about sufis ppl get angry and say that the sufis are friends of satan. maybe they think that way cuz of kabbain. so where is this guy from? What nationality? That UN deal-that's pretty scary. I wonder what king of muslim groups would go there? I hope none. So they want all of us to seek out the same path to Peace, huh? Well, what about Hinduism? They have the Four Great Paths to attaining peace. Which one do they pick out and start working on it? What if half the people want to go on a different path than the other half? What about the the shias and the sunnis and the sects within these groups, how do they find one common path to peace? Then what about the four school of thoughts? What if one wants to follow the shafae way of peace and the other the malik way of peace, and so on and so on? That is so crazy and impractical. But you know what? I wouldn't be surprised if all these philosophically oriented religions can can come up with one goal. Really its all about yoga and Lotus power. Many Westerners enjoy doing that already. you know what the UN wants? It wants Islam to become just a ritualistic religion as the others are and does not want it to stay of "way of life." I can't remember now where I read this but some big hot shot priest or Christian theologian said that if Muslims want to get along with everybody they need to get rid of the idea that their religion is the only right religion man, we Muslims have to put up with so much! Asalaam alaikum wrt wb, There's a lot of information about Kabbani and what he has done to Muslims.  D id you know that he went to the state department and said that 80% of Muslims in the US are terrorists and just about every organization in the US condemned his actions including, ISNA, ICNA, Hamza Yusuf spoke out as well, he also says that the Muslim women in Europe are prostitutes getting information from European dignitaries, he was in favor of the bombing of Muslims in Iraq, he says that the Muslims in Chechneya are terrorist, etc.  He has a website amd he has trained some people (his students) to spread his propaganda.
