Bismisslah ir Rahmanir Rahim

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In this world lies places,
Where there is sadness and distress,
And people reach out for, asking for help.

Dawn breaks to dusk and dusk to dawn,
Standing at our threshold we see -
The enigmatic wonders that Earth holds
That Allah has created -
The psycadelic flowers, the blooming buds, the dancing butterflies;
We are but humans - pathetic and weak
The slightest fragrance of the flower makes us forget,
The whisper of a mere, dirty, half fed street child;
The cry of Muslims at war left to be slaughtered;
And the cry of an old man who's eyes reveal "I am
weak, I am old and I have been left bare without a
tone,
Please Sir, Sir, be Kind so that I am not left alone ?"

poem by Muhammad Nageeb-ul-Islam, 1st December, 2000.

Yours Sincerely,
Muhammad Nageeb-ul-Islam.
