| assalaamu alaikum Apologies if this has been sent before. Kashif Wa Salaam _________ http://www.cair-net.org/ Assalamo Alaikom Brs. This person contacted me claiming he is from the World Muslim Leage (WML) and that they want to build a Masjid in our city and another city close to us. He named him self Mohammed bin Saleh Alsadlan (as if he a relative of the Shaikh) and when I asked him if the Shaikh one of his relative he said yes (he uses names that are familiar to the people that he is calling) then he mensioned other names of Shaikhs and people that are close to me. He then mensioned that the WML will send two professors (Dr. Ebrahim Shalabi and Dr. Ahmed Al-Ali, probably forged names or names that he took from the internet or a muslim Magazine) to investigate about the need of Masjids in these two cities. Since he has cheated one of my friends and I have seen the CAIR Alert, I started to be suspecious about him. A week later which yesterday 8/14/00, the same person (voice) calld me at home and said that he is Dr. Ebrahim Shalabi and he was coming to our city and but he was stranded at the Montreal Airport because his tickets time restricted. With the most polite way, he said that their laggege has already been sent to our city and that they doesn't have money to complete their journey. He asked for $1260 to be able to extend the tickets of four people that he is travelling with (the tow Profs. and their wives). I new that he is the same person that CAIR alerted us about so I tried to delay him so that we find a way to trap him but there was no chance because there were not enough cases to arrest him. His vioce is exactly the voice in the CAIR Alet link. I have talked to many brothers about him and it seems that he collected millions from muslim communities because he is working since seven years. Please: 1. Forward this E-mail to as many muslims and muslim communities as possible because it seems that he is targetting the muslim communities. 2. Try to post the CAIR Alert on the Masjid's bulletin board and warn the people after Friday prayers. [name withheld] http://www.cair-net.org/ |
