| So, ramadan is ending once again and i'm here sitting in front of my computer thinking of what my favorite memory was of this past Ramadan... My favorite memory was: Once i was at an iftar at my friend's house and i couldn't go to my usual tawareeh prayers. She cooked all day and it would have been rude it i left. It was about 7:00 pm at her house, and i was sitting there and something was missing... i didn't feel happy or enjoyed myself and now i know why.. i didnt pray tawareeh...i guess now i appreciate it. I just used to think it was a long prayer thing for 3 hours. But, now i enjoy and look foward to it..without the tawareeh prayers, i am bored and actually feel not complete.. So, i guess i learned the real meaning of tawareeh prayers...that is my favorite memory (my 2nd memory would be cooking eggrolls for the first time!) |

| slm Doing the Ramadan and Eid presentation for the first graders in my son's school. Masha Allah- watching the kids eyes light up and absorbing it all has kept me smiling for weeks. When they all kept shouting Ramadan Mubarek to my son at the end, you could tell that he was proud to be a Muslim. Allah swt is so merciful! |
