| salam... I guess this is where all the new medinans introduce themselves? Anyhow, my name is Jawad (I don't have the io after my name in real life) and I remember back when Huma's page was just a bunch of links and was a puke green/lime color :) hahahahaha Alhamdulillah now it's one of those massive pages that comes up most of the time you do a search on Islam. Thank God the puke green is a thing of the past... ok, enough from me. :) Wa salam, Jawad. |

| Asalaam alaikum wrt wb, Welcome to the board Coolio, err I mean Jawadio. ;) I remember the days when I used to do a search on my name and the only place it would show up on would be http://www.albany.edu/~ha4934 (former site of jannah.org a few years back). In Safiya's thread we had cheesy jokes, in this thread let's welcome Jawad to the board with our favorite Quranic passages. Here's one of my favorites. Quran 25:63 And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility and when the ignorant address them they say "Peace!" |

| my favorite (they're all my favorite but I like these the most particularly given our situation): "Let not the strutting of the disbelievers in the land beguile you, it is but a short enjoyment, and there abode is Hell, an evil bed. For those who feared their lord are gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will dwell forever; a gift of welcome from their Lord, and the reward of Allah is better for the good. And certainly among the people of the Book some who believe in Allah and that which is revealed to you and that which was revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They will not sell the revelations of Allah for a miserable gain! Verily their reward is in the presence of their Lord, and Allah is swift in reckoning. O you who believe! | Salaam alaykum i agree with saleema, its hard to chose (probably cos the whole Qur'an is beautiful-but there are verses which touch your heart) after ramaging through my folder, and having wrote 3 fav verses and deleteling them i have chosen at last....drum role please... :) 'Verily in the remeberance of Allah, do hearts find rest' salaam to all |
