Does Laughing in Salaah break Salah and Wudu?

Assalaamu alaikum

A question to all my brothers and sisters.

I was told that if a person laughs aloud in salaah, to the extent that others can hear him, then not only does his salah break but also his wudhu. Does this have any basis?

I can understand that the salaah will break but I cannot understand how my wudhu is affected.

I always thought that only the following broke your wudhu:
1. Anything exiting from the front and back passage
2. Bleeding profously (according to the hanafi fiqh)
3. Loosing conciousness (sleeping or becoming insane)
4. Vomitting more than a mouthful

Jazakallah khair for responding.

Assalamu alaikum,

Learner, I suggest you consult a local imam, or one of the fuqahaa on the internet.  There's some URL's in the City Constitution.

Wassalamu alaikum.

Yes, it's true according to Hanafi Fiqh...

Assalaamu alaikum

Saif: Any ideas what the references for this ruling may be?

Arsalan: I've tried to consult an Imaam but he didn't speak English. I therefore got a third brother to translate my question to the Imaam and guesse what? No sooner the question was translated to him he got all fired up and angry and replied back in his native language with an angry tone "This is not a place to create fithna!" and walked off.
...Geee I was only asking a question. Anyway, irrespective of my personal incident, Arsalan, I would much appreciate it if you could possibly ask an Imaam on my behalf and then get back to me on the notice board asap. Jazakallah khair.

Wassalaam.
