Salaam I was told to introduce myself to everyone so here goes... Some of you may know me from Isnet from ages ago yes that was Chachi too! Chachi has nothing to do with chaachi (auntie *lol*) or with chachi from 'happy days' (whatever happened to him?) Chach is the name of where i'm from! for some reason some people think chachi's like myself get offended when we're called chachi's...well this proves we're not! I'm a trainee lawyer who inshalla will be starting work with a law firm within the next 2 weeks, and i'm from Great Britain I can also program in VB and C++ and i've just started studying XML (the language of the future) My favourite sports are Cricket, Badminton and Fencing A book i've read recently which i liked? 'Into the wild' (goes with 'Land God gave to Cain' lol) thats basically it the rest you'll pick up as time goes by wasalaam |

| Assalamu Alaikum, I just found out about this place yesterday from Sr. Huma's homepage, I visited it after a long while... Al hamdulillah, her page is really nice. Anyway... This is my first post, and I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing... I hope this post turns out all right. "Introducing Me!", well... I don't really mind disclosing even personal information on the Web... I'm 20 years old, male, living in Atlanta, Georgia... But I was born and raised in Abu Dhabi, where I stayed till I turned 18; now I'm here as a student. Ok... That should be sufficient as an introduction. Oh... And I'm originally from Bangladesh. | chachi i actually remember your nickname from isnet!!! this message board sort of reminds me of isnet by having different rooms/places where you can go and discuss certain issues. i remember there was a room we could go to to get hadith and quran? is there anything else you can thing of that we can tell the moderators to add? |

Hmm a MUD would be nice *lol* where we could go killing dragons and converting people...hmm i think i've got the software for that! What we need though is to have a dedicated news area sort of a challenge to the global networks basically it would consist of selecting say 10 muslims from every country in the world, who would give us the latest news report from their own perspective but with no particular slant eg a earthquake has occured somewhere etc In addition we could have links with other small scale community magazines like http://www.nanews.org which represents the native american community so that we could provide a forum for the 'wretched of the earth' to quote fanon and shariati. this would make muslims more aware of wider concerns like the enviroment etc and also make the rest of the worlds activists who have good hearts but basically wrong philosophy about islam and whats it's about. It would spread our message and our philosophy! remember the prophet when he recalled the treaty signed by the tribes when he was young to protect the weak said 'if all the nations of the world came to me today i would sign such a treaty' essentially islam is about spreading the message and giving a voice to the voiceless ! jazakalla |
