============================================================
Please join the 'MediaMarch' against obscenity in the media.
============================================================

Dr Aasif Khan and Dr Majid Al Katme are involved in trying to coordinate the muslim participation in an attempt to regulate the obscenity law in this country with regards to TV, Radio and other media instruments. The effort is spearheaded by
members of NVALA (National Viewers and Listeners association). A march to rally support in regulating this law was held by this group, in mid-February of this year and a notice was put
out by the City Circle to promote involvement in this activity - to which a number of Muslims attended.

Another march is being planned for Saturday 16 September and they are trying to help co-ordinate the Muslim side of this. Please show your support by attending the march.

---------------

DETAIL

We have all been shocked and appalled by the depravity that is prevalent in all strands of the media including TV, internet, magazines, billboards etc. It affects all of us- including and especially our children.

A march has been organised with various charities including Muslim and Christian groups to voice our concerns regarding these trends in the media and to try and bring to the attention of the government the need to change the 'Obscenity Laws'.

Venue: Start at Tothill St (nearset tube station is St James Park), march past the Parliament and end with a rally at Trafalgar Square.

Date: Saturday the 16th of September

Time: Meet at 11.30 am with prompt departure at 12 noon. Rally finishes at approximately 2 pm.

Please bring: As many people as possible; appropriately worded banners, posters, placards etc; white balloons to symbolise the innocence of children.

The full details of the march and the manifesto are available on the website,  www.mediamarch.co.uk
