How do I Explain the Jinn to a 6 year old? |

Assalamu alaikum, "They're things that Allah created that live in this world around us. We can't see them, but they can see us. We can't see them because they're made of smoke. Some of them are nice: they pray to Allah, they are nice to each other, they don't hurt others, etc. Some of them are mean though, just like people. Allah likes the nice ones and sends them to Jannah, and He doesn't like the mean ones, and sends them to Hell." |

slm The whole discussion started when I was reading the story of Prophet Sulliman. According to that story we can see the jinn- is that still true? |

If they reveal themselves to us, then we can. Jinn can take the form of different things, so if they take a form of something that is visible to us, we can see them. Having said that, Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) had been blessed by Allah with special things, and he could do things that other humans cannot do. Wassalamu alaikum. |
