As salamu alaikum all!!

Abu Huraira (ra) narrates that the prophet (saw) said reading the following duwa 100 times shall act as a shield against satan all that day until night.

the duwa is:

Narrated Abu Harairah (ra): Allahs messenger (saw) said whoever says

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulku lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shai-in Qadir

none has the right to be worshipped but allah (Alone) who has no partner; to him belongs thr kingdom (of the universe), and for him are all praises, and he has the power to do everthing.

one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts and it will be a shiels  for him  from satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he.

(sahih al Bukhari , vol 8, hadith 412)

Narrated Abu Harairah (ra): Allahs messenger (saw) said whoever says:

        Subhan Allahi Wa bihamdihi

One hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.

Boy have I tried.
I do not think my synapsis are connected any more.
Do I have to say them in Arabic to "count"?

You can say dua's in any language. Allah of course understands them all :) The reason why we try to say them in Arabic, the way the prophet sls said it is because the Arabic language is so rich and meaningful, there is no way anyone could just come up with as beautiful duas as the one's that came from Muhammad saw

A great book on this subject is Remembrance and Prayer? by Muhammad Ghazali

As salamu alaikum all!!

I would like to make corrections to the following which was written by myself.  I re-read the hadiths in Sahih Al Bukhari and I found some errors in what I wrote.

Please take note of the changes.

------------------
What I wrote previously
------------------

Abu Huraira (ra) narrates that the prophet (saw) said reading the following duwa 100 times shall act as a shield against satan all that day until night.

the duwa is:

lahillaha illalah wadahu la sharika lahu lahul mulko wa la hul hamdo wa huwa ala kulai shai - in - Qadir

Also narrated by Abu Huraira in Bukhari -

The prophet (saw) said that reading the following duwa 100 times is among the best deed that a person can do in a day except for a person who does more than this.

The duwa is

SuhanAllahai Walhamdolillahai
