Salam,

So how did jannah and arsalan get those aol messengers under their names?

I want one too.

Glad you brought it up Saleema... After maybe 4 hours of [censored] I got that to finally work.

You can now add a little aol icon under your name by going to "Change Profile" and adding your screename to your profile.

Assalaamu alaikum,

What is the purpose of the AOL icon? The link goes nowhere. I may be missing something because I have never used AOL.

Is there any MSN messenger hack? I have an ICQ account but have shifted to messenger now for instant messaging.

Wasalaam.

Errr that may be why

on a computer that has aol instant messenger installed (which is a free program), it launches when you click on the icon and then you can aol im that person...

or you could always go to www.aol.com or somewhere and use the screename to send that person a msg

they don't have a msn messenger hack as far as i know

Assalam-u-Alaikum,

Glad to see that the Madina infrastructure is under continuous development.  This can only be good for the economy...

Is it possible that the AOL icon, like icq, be able to inform you if that person is online or not?  maybe an off or on beneath the respective icon... or different colors like ICQ?

May i ask what you mean by msn messenger "hack"?

If you click on that aol im icon it pops up your aol im session and it will tell you if that person is logged onto aol instant messenger or not

as for knowing whether or not someone is logged into the madina, you can check on the status bar on the front page, it updates every 15 minutes

a "hack" is a modification of an original program.. all these new features thread summary, aol etc are 'hacks' that different people wrote.

I made a modification to those lil messengers, now when you click on it, it will add that person to your buddy list instead of sending them a message,

In the display of your Madina instant messages if someone sends you a message if you click on a messenger under their name it will send the person an aol im.

From Arsalan:
Messenger (or AIM) is a shareware program that you can download from <http://www.aol.com> It's like ICQ or MSN Messenger. It's a program which lets you send instant messages to your "buddies" and lets you know if they're online etc. It also has a chat feature, where two or more people can chat at the same time.

If you have AIM, you just need to put your SN (Screen Name - AIM Identificiation thing) in your profile. You can do this by clicking on "Change Profile" up there.

Wassalamu alaikum.
P.S. The flower is the icon for ICQ.
