Assalamu alaikum,

Any ideas for some innovative team-building, fun, getting-to-know-one-another type activities to do in a camp?

wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatAllahi wa barakatuh,

I'm not sure what age group you're working with, but we had some activities like that during the workshops at the last MYNA conference...

One of the workshops was this, five people each taped a sign on their shirts that had one of the five pillars.  And then the task of all five of them together was to carry someone across the room.  Then to do the same thing with the absence of one of the people, then two, etc.  This was supposed to teach the importance of having all five of the pillars to support us, and how it becomes more challenging each time we're missing one of these pillars.  You can do the same with the six pillars of eman as well.

Ice breaker activities might be good as well... breaking off into groups, having each group get into a circle and putting someone in the middle, telling them to close their eyes and fall back, trusting the other people in the group to catch them - teaches need to trust and rely on one another etc

break off into groups and give some crazy assignment, like who can build the sturdiest house out of just newspaper and tape - teaches need for strong foundation

Make two people pair up who haven't met before and talk about something, their favorite toy as a child or something like that, then have each of the people talk about each other to the group.

in introductions have people tell their most embarassing moment - this usually gets people to bond.

one of the coolest ice breakers I can remember is having everyone get into a straight line, then the first person in the line has to go down and hug each and every person in the line blindfolded.  I still remember that from my first myna conference :)

these are all segregated of course

I'm not sure if that was what you were looking for..
