As Salaam Alaikum,
I have another question. Dees anybaody know what the courts do when they have muslims witnesses that need to testify and be "sworn in"? Whenever I see a tv show or movie with people in court I think about this but have never bothered to ask anybody. Also, what is the Islamic ruling on testifying in a court of law and how we should "swear" that we are going to tell the truth.

Every time I get called for jury duty, I write on the paper that I will follow Islamic laws.
Of course, I still get called in.
But the lawyers never pick me- wonder if it has to do with "the scarf?"
In our land the oath is - " Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you, God?"
First of all when you really think about it the sentance does not make sense.
Second- being Muslims we sure do not have any trouble with telling the truth.
Also, You no longer put your hand on a Bible.
