| assalaamu alaikum This is an announcement specifically for people in London. Some may have heard that muslims in Woodford have put forward a proposal to convert a building into a masjid for the local community but are being opposed by local BNP members who have damaged the building once already. This Wednesday evening there will be a council meeting held in which the decision to go ahead with the conversion into a masjid will be granted or denied. For it to go ahead we rely first on Allah and then ask the brothers to come in big numbers to show support for the proposal. Please bring brothers who aren't scared of facing up to the BNP as i've been to a similar meeting before and the BNP then jeered and heckled throughout the meeting and even resorted to threatening brothers with a beating (although they didn't lift a finger outside). My personal feeling is that if you can bring brothers who are rude boys - alhumdulillah that would be excellent. Wednesday 27 September Sir James Hawkey Hall Broomhill Road Woodford, 6.30pm |
