| Left to ourselves in this world but still hankering after it, where do we go from here? |

If that were the case, we wouldn't have seen thousands of people throughout the history of mankind professing to be prophets and coming with clear signs and revelations. The Creator has [i]not[/i] left us to ourselves. He has created us and put us on this Earth with a Free Will, and does not force us to do anything. But that is not leaving one to his/her own condition. He constantly sends to us warnings and guidance. He constantly listens to what we say, and accepts our supplications. He constantly helps us in need, saves us from calamities, provides us with rain, livelihood and the countless other blessings of the Earth that we take for granted. We call it "cyclic natural phenomena", and forget who is the originator and maintainer of these cycles. He is Near at all times, very near, although we don't perceive it. However, [i]if[/i] we realize this, and work according to how he has told us through the countless prophets that He has sent, then we enter Eternal Bliss and Happiness after our departure from this mortal world. If not, then we get what we deserve for not living the lives expected from us ... unless He decides otherwise. And surely He is the Just, [i]and[/i] the Merciful. So what [i]is[/i] expected from us exactly? He tells you that! Open the Book, the Qur'an, and read! Wassalamu ala man ittaba'al hudaa. |
