Assalaamu alaikum

Kashif's new thread has given me another idea.

The queation being:

If you had the chance to only meet one person (alive) in this world who would it be?

I hope that the answer will make ourselves ponder upon the state of the self and the aims and ambitions of one's own life.

Assalamoalykum,

The fist person who popped into my mind was Sheikh Ahmad Deedat.  :(  He's sick and paralyzed now. I just love him! I wish I could have had the chance to study under him. Doesn't he have the most beautiful face? You can tell he has so much noor on his face even through his pictures.

May Allah grant him Jannah al-Fardous. Ameen. Some guy from India studied under him and he called him "Ahmad Deedat plus." He says that he has a very good memory. I heard from someone that this guy knows even more about the Bible and Islam than Ahmad Deedat.

Anyway, I hope I can meet him someday.

wassalam

the person I am dying to meet is Abu Ratib. He is a Jordanian Singer...No not that type. He has Islamic songs only. You know the ones without music...He has done so much for Islam as a whole. He has traveled all over the world, and I say this sadly...he is dying now. Those of you who can understand Arabic...he is the one who promoted Anasheed all over the world. And he has the nicest voice ever.his son is taking in his footsteps

You are referring to Dr. Zakir Naik, he's from India.  He came to the US in August and debated with a Christian missionary, a Mr. Campbell, and Campbell didn't have any real responses (from what I heard).

I got a request for some donations from India from him and his organization and they have a picture of him shaking the hands of Ahmed Deedat, and mentioning how Deedat is paralyzed.

Anyways Dr. Naik has these dawah lessons on a website, I think there are 15 (maybe more) and you have to first register on the website and tell them how you will use the information before they give you access to it.  From the lessons I did see they were pretty good.

I downloaded this debate onto my computer.  I was at work listening to it and a few people walked by when I couldn't help but comment and they thought I had dropped a couple of marbles.  It was a very enlightening.  Campbells responses were typical.  You can find it at AHYA.org
