salaamo alaikom, brothers and sisters, the time has come to punish america for its biased position in the 'peace' nagotiations. we must stop buying products from all the MAJOR american companies, clothes (CK, GUESS) cars (GM ford) soft drinks (pepsi, coke) fast food (MacD, Burger king) shoes (nike). the list is very long. america is a capitalist country. it only understand loss and profit. and we all know the amount of influence major companies have on the governments polices. also, most of the major companies (coke, prockter & Gamble) have jews as major share holders. we can only assume that alot of the money goes into israel. this is less than the least we can do. so please (if I may quote one of the companies) just do it. |

Wa'alaikum assalam, I'm not sure how practical it is to ask Muslims that are living in America to boycott American products. And I'm not sure how much of an impact that would have either. Consider the fact that the Muslims who live in America have to pay their bills and taxes to the government anyway, whether they like it or not! And most of the money that goes to Israel as aids from America is from our tax money. However, for Muslims residing in Muslim countries, I definitely agree with you. Wassalam. |

I know it's practically everything on the market, but there's a lot of people here who want a list like that to know what to avoid. Jazakum Allah khairan |

AsalamAlayKum... I hope you have read the recent articles written by Robert Fisk. He is very good in giving people the real story about Palestine, but The Independent has received many complaints regarding his articles. He has complained to the Arabs and Muslims saying that if we wanted him to write our true story, we have to at least send a letter of thanks to the independent so that they don't stop him from writing his articles. Please write a letter to the editor of The Independent in which you state your gratefulness to Robert Fisk for his articles. The more letters we write, the more articles he'll be able to write, so please write to the independent. If you are not British, say that you found his articles on the internet. Please write to8br> letters@independent.co.uk or snail mail to Letters to the Editor The Independent 1 canada square London E14 5DL If you have not read his articles, here is the one he wrote following the murder of muhammad al durra: Where 'caught in the crossfire' can leave no room for doubt http://www.independent.co.uk/news/World/Middle_East/2000-10/fisk021000.shtml |

from: beverley@earthlink.net does anyone have the emails for any American Arab or Muslim non profit groups -- or does anyone have time to do research (search on internet for sites and subsequent email addresses) and compile a list of people to notify that we NEED TO WRITE LETTERS to support journalist Robert Fisk? Someone please compile, or forward this email to someone who can, (im swamped with work) plus the ACLU would be good and any other group associated with either CENSORSHIP or DISCRIMINATION. The media is too onesided, we need to support daring journalists like Fisk. > Dear all, > Sources have reported that The Independent has been receiving strong complaints about the articles of Robert Fisk [for samples of his articles, check www.infopal.org/palnews/ ]. He might be pressured to stop writing if we do not support him. He has stressed that if the Arabs and Muslims want him to keep writing, they have at least to say so to the paper's editor, and thank him. Please direct your letters to Editor - The Independent > > > > 1 Canada Square > > > > London E14 5DL UK > > > > letters@independent.co.uk [letters to the editor] > > |

assalaamu alaikum As i was the first to bring up the issue of writingin support of Fisk, i feel obliged to inform you that i was mistaken in passing that info on. It seems as if there is no pressure fromt he editors of the Independent to curtail the thoughts of Fisk. In fact, it's reached me that he was saying that it was quite distracting for him to keep answering messages to confirmt hat everything is fine at his end. However, the Jews are complaining against him without doubt, and so we should still show him our support and thank him for his excellent literary contributions.
