| Assalamu Alaikum Harisa--Yes, a dua is a prayer, or "supplication." This whole concept is very important in Islam because we it enforces the belief that NOTHING in this world/universe happens without the will of Allah. You see, in Islam, rememberance plays a huge role. Remembrance of Allah over everything else, but also remembrance of those before us who suffered, those around us who are still suffering, as well as remembrance of everything we are fortunate enough to have in our lives(and many other things as well). Making duas are a way of humbling ourselves before our Creator, letting Him know that we submit to Him and Him alone. I could talk about this for awhile, but everyone else probably doesn't want to hear about this :) So email me if you want ok?? With that said...Br. | Assalam-u-Alaikum, I don't know why you need our Dua' brother... but you've got mine! May Allah (AWJ) grant you only that which is better for you in this world and the Hereafter. Ameen. I also have my own request for dua'. On the sixth of november I have my very first mid-term examination... PLEASE DO PRAY FOR ME THAT I PASS WITH FLYING COLORS!! I'd really appreciate it.
