The Human Race came from Adam and Eve????

Ok -- then this is implying that Adam and Eve's children had children with eachother....in other words brothers and sisters were having kids...and i mean brother and sister in the family sense...oh my goddddddddddddd isnt this like Incest...okkkk ewwwwwwww... anyone care to explain this to me cuzz i sure as beeep cant understand it???????????

QUESTION: I have no doubt whatsoever, but these kind a things come to mind. Whem Adam and Eve bore children, I assume their children got married among themselves. Isnt marrying between brothers and sisters haram in the Quran? Can you recommend a good book(s) on Islamic Law covering every and each aspect of Life? As long as you are confident in your heart about your belief, no such insinuations will hurt you (inshaa' Allaah). If a doubt strikes a believer or something appears to him as a conflict between different textual sources of Shari'ah, he must believe that indeed for such doubts there are true answers and for such apparent conflicts there are solutions even if he doesnt know it or is unable to find the right answer himself. However, a person should not collect all the doubts in his heart and worry about the complexities and leave aside the learning of useful knowledge. This is because it is incumbent upon a Muslim to learn and know things which have been clearly described (Muhkamaat) in Shari'ah so that he may be able to repel the doubts. Regarding the question you have asked, it is a known fact that legislation differs from one Shari'ah to another, while the principles and beliefs remain the same in all of them. So, making of portraits was allowed in the Shari'ah of Sulayman (peace be upon him) but is prohibited in our Shari'ah. Similarly, making prostration of salutation was permitted in the Shari'ah of Yusuf (peace be upon him) but is illegal in ours. Also, war booty was prohibited for nations before us but it is completely legal for us. The Qiblah of people before us used to be towards Bayt Al-Maqdis, but for us it is towards Ka'bah. In a similar way, marriage between brothers and sisters was permitted in the Shari'ah of Adam (peace be upon him) as opposed to those that came afterwards. The following is a clarification on the issue by Haafidh Ibn Katheer, who said: Allaah allowed Adam (peace be upon him) to marry his daughters to his sons for necessity. Every couple used to have a boy and a girl. Hence, he married the girl of one couple to the boy of another. This is said by Suddi regarding what has been narrated by Abu Maalik and Abu Salih, from Ibn Abbas, by Murrah from Ibn Masood and by other companions of the Prophet  (peace be upon him) that Adam did not have (in his grandchildren) a baby boy unless it was accompanied by a girl, so he married the male of a couple to the female of another, and the female of a couple to the male of another. (Tafsir Ibn Katheer, Surat Al-Maaidah, 5:27)

slm Jazakallahu khayran Moe,that was where I was going to get the same answer, in addition to that Harisa, Allah created Adam first,right?Then He created Eve from his rib....so Adam and Eve had a different set of rules than ours later on.Allah subhanahu wataala is The Creator and Legislator and to Him only is the right to give us the rules by which we live.

Assalamu alaikum, Harisa, you call it incest because you live in the 3rd millenium!  At the time of Adam, there was no such thing as incest.  Allah allowed brothers marrying their sisters.  The reason was to multiply the human race so YOU and ME could be born!! :) Moreover, this feeling of disgust that you feel in your mind about incest, this feeling is implanted in your heart by none other than Allah.  Allah did not plant this feeling of disgust in the people of Adam's time.  Again, because human kind needed to grow. And surely Allah is All-Wise, All-Knowing. Wassalamu alaikum.

You know ...if it wasnt for you guys on this board....i wouldnt be anywhere near Islam right now....but since u guys take the time to explain things to me and make me see why things were done a certain way...id like to thank all of you I keep having all these doubts not about the religion anymore...as much as i do already know about it i know there is much more to learn....but i have doubts of not just God's existence but God's existence in the sense Islam or any other religion sees it....do u know what i mean?? i donno im confused and im not liking it its making me sort of mad and i just wanna drop the whole thing and be ignorant and pretend like nothing makes sense and it doesnt have to and there fore i dont care the end umm i donno im tired im goin to bed take care everyone

slm Harisa ,it is the shaytan's promise to Allah to mislead all humans to the wrong as he had done himself,except ALlah's chosen (sincere ) servants: Bismillahi-rrahmani-rraheem "Iblis said:"O my Lord!Because thou put me in the wrong ,I will make wrong fair-seeming To them on earth, And I will put them in the wrong. Except thy chosen servants among them, Allah said:"This is for me a straight path For over My servants ,no authority shalt thou have, Except such as put themselves in wrong,and follow thee." (sura 15,ayas39-42). *So here you see that becuase satan was powerless against ALlah he tries to get back at the humans,but Allah says that he cannot get to those who truly worship ALlah subhanhu wataala. *So shaytan tries to make waswas all the times to keep his promise and to maker as much as he can of us to go his way,but we keep to our religion and faith,in which lies our strength,and thus he cannot take us his way. -------------------------------------------------- *Now there is  a hadeeth by the prophet sala allahu alyhi waslam about this point that is bothering you Harisa: Narrated Abu Huraira; THe prophet sala Allahu alyhi wasallam said: "Satan comes to one of you and says: 'Who created so-and-so?,who created so-and-so?' 'till he says:'Who created your Lord?' So when he inspires such a question,one should seek refuge* in Allah and give up such thoughts." (Bukhary). *To seek refuge in ALlah means to say: "A'outhu billahi mina-shaytan arrajeem".

Assalam-u-Alaikum,  Harisa...if brothers and sisters couldn't get married in Adam's time, not many marrages would be taking place then, eh ???)  Hmmmm...this means NO children, NO humans, then if they died with no kids, where would we be?  NOWHERE!  Think about it.  Think about what would have happened.  Allah has given laws which we can act upon, which suit our society.  Hope that helps.
