| slm Trafalgar Square, that's what I forgot, it sounds nice. Mona that's pretty neat about how it has Arabic origins, what does it mean exactly? I thought Harriot Watt University was in Britain, in Edinburgh. ??? That's in Britain right? |

| assalamu alaikum, The literal meaning is as follows: al-taraf== the eye al-agharr== beautiful However, I do seem to recall this being used to refer to a type of a bird, maybe? s/he who knows anything about the battle of trafalgar, could you direct to me to where I could find out more. wassalam ps. Arshad, Edinburgh is in Scotland which is still considered part of Great Britain :-) |

I whole heartedly agree that although the name should have a Uk/British feel to it - it would be supercool [ AWESOME!! <-- if you're in the US hahaha!!!] if the name was primarily of an Islamic focus. | Salaam, Whilst I like Nadeem's idea of the "wilaya", I'm not sure that it fits in with the metaphor of the City of Medina. Or am I just not understanding the word properly? I kinda like Trafalgar Square though, particularly as it seems to have an Arabic derivation. |

| Assalam-u-Alaikum, I just know that Loch is like a lake (as in Loch Ness)... Tartar is a race of people? My suggestion for the name is that you somehow get a real bad-dialect word in it and put in the description: "If you don't understand what that means then you DON'T belong here". The disadvantage is that people may get really confused about what's going on. Just a thought in my head... I am mere peasent anyway... Wassalam-u-Alaikum Uzer |

| If the majority in the British forum wish to officially change the name, it's no problem. We can amend the name of the souq in the madina. But there needs to be a consensus. |

If y'all go with the word LOCH, a scottish word, I humbly, as a London born Muslim, suggest: "The Loch Ness Muslims" as a name proposal...
