Salam, I attended the rally Last week with the Prime Minister and His Toronto Area Liberal Candidates. I spoke with the Defense Minister, David Collenette, and Thanked him for his party's position on supporting the Palestinian side at the UN and other public forums. In a LOUD voice for others to hear in the room, Collenette was not at all shy about stating clearly the Liberal Party's support for what many muslims are feeling nowadays. The Liberals have been getting some flack in the press lately from the Israeli Lobby up here in Canada for not being a friend of Israel. So, It's now time to host a dinner with the Prime Minister and show support from Toronto's 500,000 muslims, eh? Salam: -------------- Dear Brothers Last week we were invited to participate in a Rally with the Prime Minister. We were working on organizing our own event. A dinner has been organized with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Canadian Heritage, Sheila Copps in addition to other Liberal MPs. We still in contact with the Prime Minister's office to see if he can join. This event is organized exclusively for the Arab and Muslim communities. It will be a better chance for interaction other than the previous meeting. Location Virdi Banquette hall, 3550 Derry Rd. 1 KM west of 427. Just north of Toronto Airport. Time: 5:30PM Date: Thursday Nov. 16th. Price: $35 including the Dinner. Please make cheques payable to The Nile Association of Ontario, or send cash.
