| assalamu alaikum, umrah is "mini" pilgrimage (hajj) to Makkah.. you know the one in saudi arabia. this is a sunnah (i.e. done by the prophet mohammed salla Allahu alaihi wasallam) and involves circling or walking around ka'ba 7 times (this circling is called tawaf). there are other parts to umrah too. btw, Ka'ba is the holiest site in Islam. Go to http://www.jannah.org/hajj and you'll find a picture of Ka'ba and a nice article about hajj. al-hamdulillah means thanks to Allah; an expression you may use to express gratitude to the many blessings granted by Allah. wassalam |

:-) i like that sorry slm subhanallah!!! i wish 4 u a blessed experience(again) (i think everyone has already said pray 4 us) may Allah except it from u, and may u come back a better person than u r now(that was meant in a nice way :) i had plans to go this ramadhan but unfortunately the sister i was supposed to go with has decided not to go b_cos she is gonna B busy... :( well Salaam alykum Wa_rahamatullahi Wa_Barakaatu!!!! take care!!!! |
