| slm testing. hmmm, on another computer i was using i couldn't post and was getting a problem with USERNAME. Several people from this board have already emailed me saying that they have this problem as well and they can't post. Se7en even said she can't post, insha'Allah this is a temporary thing and is fixed soon. Also, there were some problems with the jannah.org domain over the last few days because it moved to a different location, insha'Allah that situation is fixed now. Insha'Allah things return back to normal. |

| slm ok, i can post from this computer of mine but i can't post from my other computers because i logged out from those, but this one i am logged in. on those other computers i couldn't even see the graphics and got some USERNEAME message. so what i did was i cleared my cookies on those systems and then I could see the graphics but i still couldn't login to post on those systems. it didn't make sense, and i know a few of you are having this problem. |

| Salamu Aliakom, Madina we have a problem ... hehe j/k, Bhaloo everything is fine here alhamdulilah. Hmm I noticed that the server that hosts jannah.org moved. Probably what happened was that they either copied the files over to a new webserver and lost all the logs and stuff. Dunno could be a number of things really. |

| salam, it works when you type jannah.org and you see in the location bar jannah.org , but then when you type jannah.org sometimes it goes to an ip numbers.. and when that happens nothing works.. it seems to be no pattern to if it goes to jannah.org or that ip.. it's just odd |

| AsalamAlay.com, Just a little thing that sometimes solves a big thing: Filenames on Windows servers are case insensitive. But on Unix servers, they treat UpperCase and lower case file names as DIFFERENT! hence 'FILENAME.html' is NOT the same as 'filename.html'. ~ HiMY! ~ |

| Assalaamu alaikum, Finally, again! After fooling around for 30 minutes I am finally able to log in. Yes, when the jannah.org URL (which maps to 207.7.12.38 ) does not change to 12.47....(which is enoor.com) it works. Maybe the DNS servers at the hosting company (enorr.com) is having some problems. I had to close my browsers and start them again and then jannah.org did not change to the ip address. Weird ??? I believe jannah.org is hosted on linux servers. Not windows, so no problems with uppercase/lowercase. Wasalaam. |

| salam, the problem has to do with the second ip the jannah.org domain is mapped too. it is the wrong ip and it's taking some time to change it because it has to be done at network solutions etc.. also the whole hosting agreement thing i had with an advertiser is being dissolved so i have to go out on my own and find a good host etc... |

AsalamAlay.com, I've been using 'mydomain.com' and 'mydns.com' for two of my domains. So far, it's been just over a month, and i've had NO problems, issues, concerns with them. The one nugget of worry I had, without my even email them about it, was acknowledged and addressed in an email by the president of the company just the other day. They use FOUR nameservers, not that that in itself is miraculous, but it goes to their corporate culture and making sure everything works out. ~ HiMY! ~ |

Jannah.org is one of the more popular islamic sites on the web and advertisers should find it enticing. The old front page design used to have an ad. The new design does not have one. Is that why the advertisers are dropping the sponsorship ?? Inshallah it shouldn't be hard to find a new sponsor. Although I don't have any experience in these matters it seems that every tom, dick, and harry is making money from sites half as popular as Jannah.org. |

| walaikum salam, It's not really a problem of getting sponsors..everyone is willing to give you something for a price.. you could make $$ off of barnes&noble or amazon banners.. i guess it depends on how much you're willing to sacrifice of your website. there are always those offers for "integrating your site" with theirs, or adding a bookstore "within your site" kinda stuff. i always want to keep jannah.org as 'commercial free' as possible though so it's kinda tricky. but alhamdulillah i think we have a deal worked out.. now i know you guys are gonna kill me, but this might mean moving the servers yet again :) but inshallah for the better... |

| salam, Well here's the situation now... I've just faxed Network Solutions (domain registrars) to give enoor authorization to make some changes that will hopefully fix the site. So now we just wait for bureacracy... btw I found that sometimes typing in www.jannah.org gets me in instead of jannah.org |

| Assalaamu alaikum, Hey, I logged in from my lab. I have noticed that when www.jannah.org resolves to 12.47.8.38 the board works fine. But when it resolves to 207.7.12.38, the ip changes to 12.47.3.73//.. and I can't log in. You can check to what ip www.jannah.org is resolving by using ping. Wasalaam. |

So if you type http://12.47.8.38/~[insert jannah's username] you get to the front page of jannah.org. However, http://12.47.3.38/~[username]/board does not work. Probably, cgi is disabled this way or something? It appears there are some problems both at the network solutions registration and at enoor. Enoor probably does not handle the mapping from www.jannah.org to the directory where the files are correctly? Anyway, I don't know much else. I have to brush up on my TCP/IP to see how this works. |

AsalamAlay.com, I had enough problems with Network Solutions That I decided to change Registrars. After a good deal of research, epinions, flames, message board posts and the like, I settled on: http://www.gandi.net They are aimed at non-profit website owners and plain old individuals with personal websites. They have a very simple fast loading website, reading their terms, I got the feeling they were out to help the little guy. It was soooo much easier to use Gandi.net to make my ip changes than it was with NetSol. And their prices in Euros, with the exchange rate still saves money when compared to many US Dollar priced ICANN registrars. Obviously I posting this as a longer term solution rather than the required short term fix to surf to Jannah.org. ~ HiMY! ~ |

| Assalaamu alaikum, The problems are still persisting. The 207.7.12.38 jannah.org's ip still does not work. It changes to another ip and then one cannot log in. Only when jannah.org resolves to 12.47.8.38 does everything works fine. Who is slacking off on their job: network solutions or the hosting company? Wasalaam. |

| slm yeah i had the problem yesterday. i've had one person complain to me that they can't post for the past 2 weeks. this isn't good at all, and im sure others are experiencing it. |
