| It sounds so familiar but I can't place it. It sounds sort of like a fast Muhammad Ayoub but dunno... but what's amazing is that a 14 year old has a quran mp3 page.. phat!!! :D |

| hmm ok, just to make sure i got it right, the fifth link down "surah jummah" right?... had downloading problems, only heard the bismillah and the first part of the first verse, but that is classic Shaykh Al-Ghamdi... pretty sure and i'm gonna say that's my final answer... :) [wlm] |

| as salaamu alaykum wa rahmatAllah, I know, that's cool jannah... that's not what I'm talkin about though :) I know people who at the end of their emails, posts etc, they don't put "wasalaam" or "wasalaamu alaykum", they put "wa alaykum as salaam" as in, "upon you be peace as well"... so I was asking br. abdulbasir why that is... sheesh kabobs, everything has to be about you doesn't it :P wasalaam. |

| [slm] Yup. It's 100% Sa'ad al-Ghamidi. I would know, I was listening to that exact surah by him in my car yesterday. Btw, anyone wanna take a guess at how old he is? |

Perhaps, force of habit derived from following the leads of others many years ago who were misguided in their ways. | slm I've seen Sheikh Saad Al-Ghaamdi in person (he delivered a khutbah out here), and the brother looks pretty young, alhumdullilah. He could be in his 30s or even early 40s although late 20s is a possibility also, Allahu alam. I know one of the guys he was joking around with was in his late 20s or early 30s. |

| Yup. Late 20's! And so is Imam Shatiri! Can you say, Subhan Allah?!! Safiya, I don't have the whole set. Only the last 4 juz's (which is enough for now, alhamdulillah). I never have enough money at one time to buy a whole tape set! Remember, I'm still in college :) That means I'm always broke because 1. I don't get enough money to start with, and 2. Whatever I get goes away REALLY quickly! Wassalamu alaikum. |
