~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Salaam Alaikum,
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam.  The Muslim Students’ Association of The
University of Texas at Austin would like to invite you to our annual Islam
Awareness Week (IAW), February 25 – March 3.
Allah has honored us all by making us Muslims, and this is a week in which
we celebrate our Islam.  Our purpose is da’wa – to awaken the love of Islam
in at least one heart.  But who says you can’t have fun while doing da’wa?
We’ve planned a week of exciting lectures, cultural poetry and Islamic
entertainment that’ll remind you why you love being a Muslim.  It’s a week
you’ll remember for years to come, InshaAllah.  Come join us and see for
yourself why IAW has made UT MSA famous nationwide.
And if that is not motivation enough, then come to accept the MSA-UT
challenge: we challenge you to put on a better IAW then us.  So come see
what we’re all about and dare to put us to shame.  We’ll see you there,
InshaAllah.
Wa Salaam Alaikum
MSA Executive Committee
wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatAllahi wa barakatuh,
Bro, that's dr. abdul hakeem jackson, he's also known as dr. sherman jackson, brilliant Islamic studies professor at University of Michigan.  I studied with him at ALIM, I wanna be like him when I grow up :)
heheheh, ok, the name Dr. Abdul Hakim Jackson I know.  The Sherman name threw me off completely, as I didn't know he used to go by that name before. :)
Harun!  Long time no see man.  I wish I could come to IAW.  Unfortunately it'd be difficult because of my class schedule.
I wish the UT brothers and sisters all the best, and may Allah help them make this a successful program, and guide the people through it.  Ameen.
Wassalamu alaikum.
