| Asalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu First 10 days of Dhul-Hijja: These days can be viewed in a similar light as the last 10 nights of Ramadan. Virtues: "The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are no days better in which to perform righteous deeds than these days (the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijja). The companions said: O' Prophet of Allah, not even Jihad in the cause of Allah? The Prophet said: Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah except for one who sacrificed his life and wealth." (Bukhari) “There are no days greater or more loved by Allah in which to perform good deeds other than these 10 days, therefore praise and glorify Allah abundantly in these days.” (Ahmad) “The best of days is that of Arafat.” (Ibn Hibban) If we go by the calendar then the 1st of Dhul-Hijja will be on Saturday 24 February 2001, Insha Allah. It will be confirmed once the moon is sighted, as Friday is only the 29th Dhul-Qada. |
