Have u ever laughed at yourself?

Assalamu alaikum,

An attempt to expose our silly sides that shine in moments (no longer I hope) of synapse haywire.

Soooo, this is back in the day when I was a 'wet-behind-the-ears' grad student.  My supervisor showed up at my office one day and said that she wanted to fax some of my results to another researcher in some other city.  So we walked together down the hall towards the fax machine, me holding the paper to be faxed in my hand.  We passed the copier machine on our way and I stopped and said:"maybe we should keep a copy of this before faxing it"!!!!  My supervisor was very polite and controlled herself as not to laugh at me and just said:"as far as I know, fax machines don't eat up faxes after they transmit them".  I quickly realized my silliness and started laughing at myself.

:D
wassalam

well.....unfortunately, i can't think of anything at the moment..insha'allah the next time i'm ms. silly, i'll report it. :)

a couple of times i'd think i'm with someone when i'm not..lol the most recent time was when we were looking at a house..it was a model home..and so a bunch of ppl were there looking around..i thought my mom was with me..and i started making comments etc..i said something in half arabic too..and then when i turned around b/c she didn't answer...lol i was embarrassed...it was some other lady lol my fam was already ahead of me in the kitchen! ;)

other times similar to that incident is when we'd be on a family shopping trip or something...and the little one would be with me..my mind being occuppied, i'd drag my lil sis's hand, wondering why she's being annoying and pulling back..and i'd be admonishing her like c'mon habibti, let's goo, jaano..we have to go over there or whatever...and i'd be talking about other things too and then i'd turn around and face her lol and WHOOPSIE DAISIES!!! it's some strange kid!!! lol ;)

ummm...that's the only thing that comes into mind right now...i'm sure i'll think of many other things later...or something else'll happen..lol and i'll be able to report that. :)

silly stuff like in ochem lab too. ;)
i'd set up the appartus for distillation..and so i'd put the water hoses on..and i'll put on the water..to let it run...but once in awhile i'd turn the water on too high and so the water hose would detach and spray water all over the place! :P and the poor russian dude across from me would be  pretty drenched..besides myself and all of our lab text and notebook! ;)

i don't know...does some of this bring a smile? :)
wa salaams.
