| assalaamu alaikum wrwb! ;) ha ha, kashif and the sisters crew! ;) that was funny! i have a question...some days ago, dad was reading something on the web..about the salah timings in the UK...during the summer, it listed fajr to be at 2am or something??? and isha at 10pm? and then i forgot what it was like for the other seasons...but i was curious..do you feel it's any different? the timings? or is it just normal?? ;) and... | wa alaikum us-salaam PacificBreeze, Its almost true. At the height of summer Isha starts at around 10.37pm at its latest, while Fajr starts at about 2.57am at its earliest. Perhaps the hour adjustment for British Summer Time have something to do with it?! Anyhow, alot of the online salah time calculators are really bad when it comes to the UK. There was one that went way off scale listing Isha at about 2am in the summer?! I stick to the printed ones now. Kashif Wa Salaam |

hmm americans pronounce a 'z' (zed) as a 'zee'..thats because when they were kicked out of england along with the aussies..they found the only other people in america with them who were on a par albeit better educated were the french...which is where they picked up their appalling spelling from...*lol* |

| I think it's time to clear up the mess. I phoned the president of the Islamic society at QM or QMW and he clearly stated that it was QM (for those in London you'll get to see this on the poster). So Kash, sort it out geezer !! p.s. Americans are slackers |

| Just to clear up some misconceptions: 1) There have been some rumours that Abu Usamah is not coming. I have contacted the Islamic Society and these are unfounded. He has confirmed that he is coming as planned. 2) The telephone number that is printed on the poster is working and has been for the last few weeks 3) There is a current shortage of tickets so reservations are being taken. The society is endeavouring to allocate more tickets to meet the demand |

Jazahkhallah. I give the Qm Dinner 7-8 out of 10....it ran a bit late and the bros didn't have time 4 dinner because we would have missed the last train home. however we got the sisters to pack the food for the bro's...so in short it was a good evening and masha'allah nice turnout.... wasalaam Zara |

But at least I can slag off americans...i have met quite a few here...nice people, but definately slackers...we (the brits) have to correct them on ENGLISH almost very day! |
