Asalaamu Alaikum ;-)
I had an interesting discussion with a brother yesterday who was saying all our efforts are misplaced and wasted; the "jihad", the political efforts, the fundraising, etc. His stand is that, we will continue to be abused, oppressed and mistreated until we return to our deen. He says that he feels everything the Muslims are suffering right now is their own fault because we've strayed from the deen.
The quote above reminded me of this
Mother and Son

"No son you can't go out in the rain without your coat"

"Oh please Mom, don't make me wear my coat, it's only round the corner and I have to go all the way upstairs to fetch it. Oh please, please, please, pretty please with a cherry on top?"

"If it rains, you'll be drenched, catch pneumonia and die a horrible death!!!"

"Okay I'll go get it"

A mother has more experience (has lived more) than her young son and thus knows more (is more knowledgeable) than her young son and hence is more aware (more wise) than her young son. Her wisdom is such that she sees things that her son doesn't and is able to protect her son from his own self.

So in the light of the above, answer the following questions:

Who has lived the most and is the All-Living (Al-Hayy)?

Who knows the most and is the All-Knowing (Al-Alim)?

Who is therefore the most aware and The Most Wise (Al-Hakim)?

You going to wear your coat now?
