| Assalam-u-Alaikum, Sorry... but what is 'The Pretender' about... am i right when i say that the Merchants of cool is a documentary about teen-marketing? Not that it matters... i dont get amreekan channels here anyway. I have this vague memory about the pretender being an fbi agent who can read other's minds or something. correct me if im wrong Wassalam-u-Alaikum Uzer |

| assalaamu alaikum Uzer, i think you're talking about a show called Millennium. Pretender is quite different. The acquaintance in America who used to tape it for me got married so thats come to an end now. |

| [slm] The Pretender has gotten very very boring. When will they ever rap up this show. Last week I was watching it, and Jared "finally" meets up with his mom. Turns out he also has a sister, and another brother (whatever happened to the clone?) Point is the story has become lame hehe. I can tape it but I thought in Britain they run on Pal Secam. So unless you have a dual video tape system, one that supports NTSC and Pal Secam I don't think it will work. Merchants of Cool sounds interesting. |

| Assalam ualykum, I watched the documentary "merchants of Cool". Unfortunately I did not tape it. Wow. That was good and so enlightening. I am not going to have to order it. this is something worth buying I think. wassalam |

| Bismillah Rahman Rahim, wa salatuhu wa salam ala'a Rasul Karim, As salam alaykum I would have loved to hear Sheykhna Hamza commenting on The Merchants of Cool , and i dont mean those 10 minutes talk, that's just a comment.. since it was a good one, depicting the essence of the " Trend ". :) |
