wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatAllahi wa barakatuh, Moe, this is actually for youth 12-18, you're older than that right? But we could always use counselors. As for MSA, Toronto must have some kickin MSA's! From what I hear it's a really active area. Maybe ask around at your school, at the masjid, I'm sure you'll find someone who's involved. And I'm pretty sure that the MSA's there have conferences.. I don't know how far Toronto is from here, but I know that it's *really* far. :) Hamza Yusuf is actually having a conference in Toronto this weekend, check it out in the Ummah Community Center. Definitely look into MSA's in your area, Toronto must have tons of 'em. wasalaam. |

| [slm] This is for youth only? So wait what happens for 20 year olds? Heh :) I remember this one married bro who is also a father masha Allah, saying "I will always be youth, that is why I am in the youth group". I figure with that kind of mind set you can't go wrong :) |

as salaamu alaykum wa rahmatAllah, Moe, sorry, I thought you were older, like college age.. Al-Basha usually people go from MYNA to MSA.. MYNA conferences are directed towards youth, the speakers, workshops, activities etc are focused on youth and the problems they face and questions and issues they'd like to see addressed.. Bro, you'd be an awesome counselor :) Everytime I speak to people about MYNA memories, one things that everyone always mentions is that one counselor they had that was cool enough to talk to about anything... Young people need to see that you can be 20, cool and down with the deen... |
