Test your analytical skills

Assalamu alaikum,

I just got this idea after reading through the Quest-ionnare thread where the focus of discussion has ceased to be on the actual questionnaire and shifted towards bro Abu Khaled -who has been cleverly evading constant requests to introduce himself or participate in his own questionnaire.

So anyone would like to hazard a guess about this mysterious Abu Khaled persona?  I think he left enough clues in his previous messages/posts in our Madina.  Well not too many, but at least some things may be clear enough.  So let's see how good are your detective abilities.

I'll start.
1. Which part of the country is he from?
I would say probably somewhere in the UK, judging by his how he spells and I believe that there were previous references as to where he is.

2. How old?  How many children? married?
I don't think he is married, nor do I get the sense that he has children.  He sounds very young actually...all that funk talk!  Also, do I remember him saying that he went on that trip to Spain organized by the Zaytoona institute?  Well, I think the majority of the participants of that trip where college students or about the same in age.

3. What is his field study, or what had he studied?
This is tough. But I think he took (or is taking) few philosophy courses! And aced them!!  It is also apparent that he is studying (or studied) usool ul-fiqh, I think.  Masha'Allah.

4. What's his background?
He seems well versed in Arabic. But, for some reason I don't think that it is his first tongue. I think we all agree that his English is impeccable, which makes me favour the opinion that he's british or has been there from a very young age.  Also his sense of humour has a british tone to it, which corroborates that opinion.

Feel free to add more points or dispute the ones I have made based on other peices of evidence :-)

Br. Abu Khaled, I am sure you'll be able to see the humour in all of this and not mistake our  good intentions.  You are very welcome to participate as well and dispel all preconceived notions about yourself.

Wassalam

I assumed he was or is married- because once he made some very astute comments regarding married life- that until you are deep in the trenches- you wouldn't know.

But then again-I thought Jannah was Se7en's mom...

I also think I know him.... Because he disappeared off these boards when one of my husbands friends went on a trip...

I agree. I was considering a thread like this but guess I was beaten to it!

Okay here's my Sherlock Holmes assessment:  ;-)

1. Which part of the country is he from?

I'd have to say UK too.

I'm not sure anyone besides a Brit uses the expression "woods from the trees". That one was a real giveaway. Of course I could be way off base.

2. How old?  How many children? married?

My hunch would be early 20's and single.

But mature beyond his years

3. What is his field study, or what had he studied?

Agree with the fiqh lessons. I get the feeling though he does this as an addition to whatever his main vocation is. If I was pushed I would say he was still studying.

4. What's his background?

The boy sure can write ;)

Has to be British but is learning Arabic. If I find out that an American can write like that, I won't be happy! ;) (j/k guys)

I'd say spent most of his time growing up in the UK.

Once again Br Abu Khaled, this is just a bit of fun and I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Another reason why you should just post and put us all out of our misery ;-)
