| Assalam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu! I thought of giving an introduction to myself and not being well versed with the art of using words into sentences here is my attempt to tell a bit about myself. I am someone Who wants to die being a muslim, and very afraid because of a hadith I remember (sorry can't remember the Isnad), in which our Prophet (saaw) said, that a person can do good and be a good muslim all his life and yet die a non-muslim and as a result go to hell, whereas a person can be bad all his life yet he accepts Islam towards the very end of his life and be admitted to jannah! On the lighter side here is a brief intorduction of me the person: 1. 24 and a 1/2 year old, born in India, blessed with wonderful parents, 2 brothers and a sister Alhamdulillah. 2. someone who within a few days of landing in the US learnt that he is an FOB subhanAllah!!! 4. someone who is shy. Well shyness is a branch of faith I heard, but sometimes it has harmed me. 5. spent most of my life not paying attention to my deen, spending time in learning worldly knowledge some of which I found interesting and some of which boring. Slowly changing that though! 6. Currently living in LA, california. Want to move out towards east though inshaAllah. | Walaikum Assalam br. Arsalan! It wasn't too long ago. Almost a year now that I came to this country. So I am still an FOB and perhaps will remain so for a long time to come ;) By the way I had been visiting jannah.org for fairly long time. I bumped into this site when I had visited US some 2 yrs back and mashaAllah gained good knowledge from it. May Allah reward with good sister jannah and all others who contribute towards this site. Usually resident desis (in the US) give this term to someone who has recently arrived in this country as opposed to people who have been born and/or brought up here. Wassalam Eqbal |
