| Salaam 'Alaikum Hey, all you married or someday-to-be-married sisters... I found a great book a few days ago in my local library. It is called "Home Comforts," and it's by Cheryl Mendohlsen. It's about HOW and WHY to keep a home. I know it sounds strange to say this about a book on housekeeping, but the first chapter REALLY hit me. She speaks about how de-valued work in the home has become, to the point where our homes today are just places where we change clothes and sleep, and no one really cares for their upkeep. I think that even if you plan on having a career, you should definitely pick this one up, ESPECIALLY if you were raised like I was, with no idea on how to really clean. (BTW, it's good for the brothers to check out too!!! ) |
