| asl What exactly goes on there? I know people make speaches there but of what type are they? Any debates? And when is the *best* time to go there? I love powerful speaches, large crowds and a high powered atmosphere!! ;-D ;-D I heard that a white muslima was cornered and shouted at by some brothers (shouting "YOU KAFFIR!!" ) since she was mistaken to be a non-muslim(being white!) and wasnt wearing hijab.poor girl :( thank yoouuuuuuu |

| abdur-Raheem Green is usually around on Sunday afternoons, you should find it informative N.B. the way that the message is conveyed at Hyde park is unique to that area, so it might not be appropriate for friends. |

| Asalaamu Aleikoum, Alhamdulillah, I made my Shahada there. Yeah, the atmosphere can get quite charged there. You get all sorts, from Christians to NOI types to brothers like Abdurrahim Green. You might find it more useful talking to the brothers and sisters who are there with the speakers as the speakers and their hecklers are usually caught up in discussing a point that is peripheral to the issue at hand!
