Assalamu Alaikum wa Ramat-Ullahi wa BarakatuH

Sorry to interupt the "pointless discussion" thread :-).

Thanks, but no thanks on the Bebzi...I think I'll have a chocolate milk :-).  MMMmmmmmmm....nutritious!!!

I've read that it is the custom in this Madinah to introduce yourself at the Bebzi stand....so...
I am a University student in Canada, and I mainly come on this site for MSA stuff.  Maybe I will check out the Ikhwan Club though (all the "clubs" here are co-ed)!.  OK...Jazzakum Allahu Khair...eh.

Wassalamu Alaikum wa Rahmat-Ullahi wa BarakatuH

Jazzakum Allahu Khairan for the welcome.

Khalid...I'll (with pleasure) relegate the screen name to the elder Madinah Citizen (nice name Bro!)

Sis...Nice to see you too!...Jazzaki Allahu Khair for the tip on the smily faces.  I was so surprised to see those illusive Hijabi emoticons sneak into my message ;-).  Very sneaky...

Yeah, health and boycott pretty well sum up why I've given up za Bebzi...and milk tastes so smooth!  Those days of Choc. milk being a main food group are still here for some of us :)...eh.

Make du3a for princess :)

Take care;-D.

speaking of bebzi, did we ever have the debate of which is better? Coke or Pepsi?

Bhaloo, remember we had this debate over the email list a while back :) I think pepsi won as far as votes go.

Sorry but pepsi is a tad bland for me.

Assalam ualykum,

60 minutes did a news item on soft drinks and sports drinks. LOL. It was soooooo funny.

Some of the most famous brands didn't even have the ingredients that they said they had. And they were actually very unhealthy. The way the guy talked about it, you can see he was very angry. LOL. It was one of the funniest things i had seen on news! :)

And then, and this made him even more angry, he asked the pepsi and coke lovers about which one tastes better? And then he read the ingredients from both of the cans and (LOL) they were the same. :D

It never occured to me that they might have the same ingredients, although it boggled my mind that people actually said that there's a difference in their taste! :)  It's all in your head people, you pepsi and coke lovers have just been the victims of corporations who were very slick with their advertisements!  :)

Wassalam

Saleema, I'm sorry, but you are wrong!

Pepsi and Coke are worlds apart in their taste.  I have proven it to many people over and over again.  Give me two cups, one with pepsi, one with coke and one with, err, sam's cola!  Don't tell me which is which, and I'll tell you just by tasting them which is which.

I don't know whether or not they have exactly the same ingredients.  Maybe they do.  But the quantity of each ingredient may vary, thus giving it a different taste.  You should know that if you work in a kitchen :)

As far as which is better ....

Pepsi ....

by far!

[slm] everyone and welcome B-Calm...

I don't drink either but to be fair, while the ingredients are the "same", there is probably difference in their &qqot;natural flavors", which is not specified further, as indicated on both cans...

Assalam ualykum,

From day one I haven't been able to tellt he difference between the two drinks.

i still think it's all in people's head. as for the natural flavors, the journalist talked about that too. basically, they aren't natural and in both cases the natural flavors are the same.

wassalam
