I am updating the resources/cool page and am trying to get a consensus on what people think the top 10 Islamic sites are?

This was my old list but dunno should I add islamway? or sounvision or something?
So what are your top 10?

TOP 10 ISLAMIC SITES

The following sites are (imho) the best Islamic resources on the Web based upon logevity, unique content, current info etc!

[url]http://www.islamworld.net[/url] The Islam Page - One of the oldest pages on the web. Many articles/books and resources.

[url]http://www.islaam.com[/url] Islaam.com - Tons of informative articles and information.

[url]http://www.icna.com/[/url]Islamic Circle of North America - Great resource. They've added news, articles, family, youth pages, resources and even entire speeches from past conventions.

[url]http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/[/url]USC Muslim Students Association Islamic Server - Excellent search engines for Quran and Hadith.

[url]http://www.msa-natl.org[/url]The Muslim Students' Association of the US and Canada - Great lists and directories, including all Masajid and MSA's in N. America

[url]http://www.umr.edu/~msaumr[/url] MSA of UMR Homepage - Has some good references like Quran translation in multiple languages, hijri-converter and articles.

[url]http://wings.buffalo.edu/sa/muslim/[/url]MSA at Buffalo Islamic Information - Many resources listed, Metapages, Audio, Quran, Libraries.

[url]http://msanews.mynet.net/~msanews[/url]MSANEWS Home Page - Has a scholars base as well as Launchpad of massive Listings of Governments, Organizations, Research Institutes, News Providers,etc.

[url]http://www.ummah.net/index.html[/url]Islamic Gateway - Revamped site, very current, includes alot of Islamic news, lists, pictures and discussions/voting.

I personally like [url]http://www.islam.org[url] and [url]http://www.islaam.com[url] best, maybe because those are the ones I mostly go to.

I also like [url]http://www.icna.net[url] quite a lot. Its pretty neat.

The one I mentioned above,

Assalaamu alaikum,

I think the umr and buffalo msa sites should be taken off. They don't have extensive material (as compared to other sites) and they are also less frequently updated. USC-MSA is good. And I am not sure about the msanews site. Instead of that consider http://iviews.com or http://islam-online.net. hmm, what else? islamway.com, islam-qa.com. Well these have been mentioned already.

Ok, here is my top 10. While there are many that are important, especially relief agencies, they can often be linked to from the following sites.

are islam-online.net and islamonline.net the same thing?

i think islamicfinder.com is an amazing resource but i wouldn't say it's a top 10 website...i'm looking for the 10 sites i could tell a muslim or non muslim to go to and they would have amazing content articles and information, media files etc..

islam-qa also i don't know about top 10 website, it's certainly an excellent resource though..

My list is based on websites I frequently visit and our good sources of information for Muslims and non-Muslims. I do think islam-qa.com is good for non-Muslims as well because maybe they have a question and want to know what the Islamic answer is and maybe they ask their Muslim friends who may not have knowledge of a matter.

Looks good to me.

There is a bug in the script. Line 80 should be:
var BOUNCE = 0.75;

instead of:
Var BOUNCE = 0.75;

the 'v' is lower case.

Just found a few more problems. You forgot the http:// before islamicfinder.com and islamonline.com. Also, shouldn't it be islamonline.net?

Looks like I will have to go through the whole page. It is full of bugs :)

I remember V. Just about. I remember it was really creepy where they peeled back a bit of their skin and it was green underneath..eeeeeeew

TODAY in daily life by average to extremist muslims alike.
We all gotta know when it's maghrib and Eid and of course,
My birthday! (17th Muharram, 1390)
The site also has introductory to intermediate information
on the politics of moonsighting, different horizons, and
future and past calendar almanac(an arabic word in the first
place) info.

This is a FLASH ONLY site. Kinda barebones on the content
side, but boyoboy, is the site pretty. Sure to impress
at least from the quality perspective, Non-Muslims who
stumble-across/referred to this site.

And I am NOT just sayin' that 'cuz I'm a Canadian. ;)

And for my next Rabbit pulled outta the hat,
I've referred people in the past to :

Himy those are definitely some nice specialty sites..the flash sure is eye candy... but would you say they are the *best* Islamic sites out there?? I think I'll add them to resources though

Each of my three suggestions by themselves, do not a *best*
three outta ten make.

Providing all THREE together as part of a whole solution
would answer initial question very well: show Islam and
Science are in full alignment and very much alive, relevant
and used by today's Muslims; that ain't left collecting dust
back a few centuries ago as some religions out there have been
reduced to; and yep, we also can honour our muslim heritage
of great architectural accomplishments with sleek design
and tasty eye candy.
