Aslamu alaikum wa rahmatullah There is a hadeeth which someone told me recently and of which I have heard about before, the problem is I cannot find the source for it, therefore I cannot verify its authenticity. If someone could shed light on it then I would be very grateful. I roughly remember the wording to be... That the prophet [saw] said that "whoever revives a sunnah of mine gets the reward of a hundred shaheed (or 70, Allahu wa'alim). I was told that it was in Bukhaari, but could not find it, if someone knows of its origin please let me know. Jazakh Allah Khair wa salam |

“For him who holds fast to my Sunnah at the time of corruption of my Ummah, is the reward of a hundred martyrs” (Bayhaqi) |

Aslamu alaikum wa rahmatullah Jazakh Allah khair Destined, I really appreciate it, since atleast now I know that it is an actual hadeeth and I know its source. What I would also appreciate, is if someone knows about its authenticity, whether it is saheeh, hasan, daeef or mawdo, maybe someone like Shaikh Al-Baani classified it in his silsila, if anyone has knowledge of it then please let me know as well. jazakh Allah khair. |
