Here’s some stuff to make you scratch your head:

Why isn't phonetic spelled the way it sounds?

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

If 7-11 is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, why are there locks on the doors?

If nothing ever sticks to TEFLON, how do they make TEFLON stick to the pan?

If you're in a vehicle going the speed of light, what happens when you turn on the headlights?

You know how most packages say "Open here". What is the protocol if the package says, "Open somewhere else"?

Why do they put Braille dots on the keypad of the drive-up ATM?

Why is it that when you transport something by car, it's called a shipment, but when you transport something by ship, it's called cargo?

You know that little indestructible black box that is used on planes, why can't they make the whole plane out of the same substance?

Why do they call it 'standing water' when it's laying down?

Why is "abbreviation" a long word?

If a man speaks in a forest and his wife can't hear him, is he still wrong?

Did you know that there's no synonym for synonym.

And what’s another word for thesaurus?

Go figure! ;-D

If nothing ever sticks to TEFLON, how do they make TEFLON stick to the pan?

This special coating contains a mixture of non-stick and adhesive molecules. It is applied to the pan which is then baked at 400 degrees. This causes the sticky molecules to sink to the bottom of the solution and attach themselves to the vessel, and the non-stick molecules to rise to the top, thus forming a slippery finish. Ta Da! Scratch your head no more!

Where can you find the sun rising in the West and setting in the East?

Believe it or not there is a factually correct answer to the above! ;-)

Answer : On the planet Venus


A Venusian day is 243 Earth days and is longer than its year of 225 days. Oddly, Venus rotates from east to west. To an observer on Venus, the Sun would rise in the west and set in the east.
