eeemmmmmmm is Mountain Dew not a type of Whiskey?? BTW I *don't* like Dr.Pepper. Or Canada Dry or anything weird and chemically except Pepsi and Coke, which are the best! or am I thinking of Tullamore Dew? Eleanor. ps is this another pointless thread?

The stuff I drink (although its really rare to find in the UK) is a greenish soft drink with a "wild" colour and a "wild" taste (well that's what the marketing says anyway) Although I'm currently hooked on Tropicana freshly squeezed orange juice. That stuff is sooooo good!

slm Now I remember!!! Dr. Pepper smells like that muscle creame (Ben Gay) that you apply to a sprained foot or arm.  How can you guys drink that? ???  I wonder why they have "doctor" in the name? ???  definitely sounds medicine related. :)

slm, wild cherry bebzi or cherry coke... if you ever go to a good restaurant that serves drinks from a real bar-type fountain, then get a cherry coke.. they usually like pour a regular coke, then pour like a bunch of cherry flavoring in it (more than the normal amount)... its awesome :) you should try it, really you should :)

I like rooh hafza, but only the kinds imported from Pakistan.  The stuff they make here is merely a poor imitation.

slm What's falooda? I just flew back today, and its good to be back on the board. :)  I had some tandoori shrimp at this bombay grill in San Mateo, they were really good.  And this morning I had smoked salmon, bagel and clam choweder at the crab pot restaurant at the San Francisco airport, 2 thumbs up. :)

Assalam ualykum, Yes bhaloo, it depends where you are. If you are at a very, very, very, very expensive place eating out then there's not difference in the taste. But if you go to the local shop in the neighborhood or go to the stands in the park or at college campuses then water has been added. more than what's necessary. wassalam

[slm] nehar, welcome to the board.   Hmm, I looked at that web site.  Most of the things look too far-fetched to me!  "Coca Cola" says "Laa Muhammad Laa Makkah"???  I think that's quite a stretch of imagination!!! Pepsi = Penny Earned for the Protection of the State of Israel??? Is there any proof to such things? The only thing that I can agree with is the Nike Air symbol.  It does look very close to Allah.  But only one of them.  The one on the right, written in white with a yellow outline.  The others are modifications of this which were made when there was an uproar from the Muslim world community protesting such an image to be put on a shoe.  Nike actually recalled its shoes in the end.   Bhaloo - Yes, pepsi and coke taste different in Pakistan, but only if you drink bottled drinks.  As Saleema said, they put too much water in the drinks to save money!  This is why there is such a high demand for "cans" among high class people!  When we went to Pakistan, everybody wanted us to buy pepsi cans for them from the duty free shop.  The cans are imported from the Middle East. Wassalamu alaikum.

salam, DRINKS!!!! i think ne drinks r nice n good long as its halal!!!!!!  BUT i still myself am really fusy, specially wen it cums to cola!!!!! i hate all the copy cats of coke, but i luv coke, but i recently stoped drinking that!!! :( ne ways go n enjoy drinking!!!1 wa-salam
