assalaamu alaikum

If i want to save the data from an Excel spreadsheet in CSV format and my local list-separator is set to ',' then how can i get the data to be read correctly if one of the cells in the Excel spreadsheet actually contains a ',' within its data?

wlm,

take it out and replace it with some other weird character and put it in after you have it in excel.  csv and delimited ascii works as designed you tell it the seperator and voila.. it doesn't know exceptions

jazakillah jannah.

But after a series of tests i realised that the CSV file-formatting handles all commas & speech marks by itself perfectly.
